A crowd controller (since you cant really outheal campaign damage that overlevels you). The main choice would be Fawkes, but you may also use Arden and Tasi.
2 attackers that can break the other flank first; you never want to attempt to bring Brutus down first, that will end badly. Just try to outlast his damage before he spins, while demolishing the other end. Saveas is a good choice. So are lightbearer dps, since Brutus and Saveas are weak to that faction.

@fathom vault put tasi and arden in crystal instead of ira and niru. Then try them one by one. Sub out estrilda or hogan

You'll need to build the following team, based on your current heroes:
- A frontliner that can take hits, most likely overlevelled compared to the others. You want to be able to hold Brutus for a bit.
Unit Suggestions:
◇ Lucius or Hogan, because of the Lightbearer faction that is strong against Maulers.
◇ Brutus, who can spin to avoid damage; use his skill manually to maximize the effect.
◇ Grezhul, who can turn Brutus around so he will focus on the summoned add and spin in the opposite direction away from your team while you focus him down; he's also not particularly weak to maulers.
- A crowd controller, since you cant really outheal any campaign damage that overlevels you.
Unit Suggestions:
◇ Fawkes, his skill can remove Brutus from the scene while you kill the rest of the opponents; later on, you can focus him down.
◇ Arden, his root skill will ensure a few of your opponents are unable to move or attack, giving you the advantage.
◇ Tasi, she will put the enemy team to sleep and will banish one opponent for a while, making the battle 5 vs 4 in your favor for a while.
- 2 attackers that can break through the enemy's weaker line first. You never want to attempt to bring Brutus down first, because that will end badly. Just try to outlast his damage before he spins, while bursting down the other side.

◇ Saveas, with his haste, critical hits, and self heal.
◇ Lightbearer faction heroes like Belinda or Mirael, because Mauler gets extra damage from their faction.

I did some pulls today and I was thinking of new lineup possibilities.
I hear that the team comp bonus is worth going for, hence the following thoughts: since I have Shemira and Lucius, I feel compelled to do a Graveborn/Lightbearer team. I also pulled Athalia(jolly), but I don't know how good she is.
I was thinking about dropping Arden, Nemora and Saveas from my current lineup, and go with a 4/1 using Lucius, Athalia(if good), Thoran/Vedan, Grezhul, Shemira or a 3/2 with Lucius, Athalia, Reine, Shemira Grezhul.
Any thoughts?
(I will fix levels with Altar once cd resets)

Currently in chapter 13 (i got shemira to +161 today and holy shit the difference)
next obvious step is saveas to +140 but out of dust cause of shemira. Still maybe some lineup change is best

@lavish tapir mauler stick with it you need sav, same in gb you dont have enough copies to leg+ a hero you dont want it to be stuck, in wilder you can go with an arden or nemora (since she is avail in lab)

Things I don't like in my team / lineup: Golus and Arden
Even tho I agree Arden helps a lot with the root in some stages, in others he just does nothing. And golus is just trash for me, probably cause he is only e+, but not like I can do more
My general idea when I saw the easter event is to get a tasi to get her to leg or something, but maybe nemora is better for me
