For the normal attack + 2nd skill i like the new one better
For the ult, the ice storm is way cooler, but doesnt seem to match bellinda's light theme
As fhe buffing skill, the previous one seems more eyecatching as the yellow new one is just too fast (like gone in a blink) in x2.

I hope there would be a new hero with like ice spells that reuse those old skill animations (esp the cool looking ult)

I use both Mischief and Clip studio. I’d recommend Clip over Mischief, but they both have their uses.
Otherwise, Procreate for the iPad, it’s pretty incredible, as mentioned by someone else earlier.

I wouldn’t knock Mischief until you’ve tried it @silent sleet , it’s basic, but versatile, and the infinite canvas has a multitude of uses.

Photoshop is an incredible program, I used it for a lot of years until I discovered Clip Studio, it’s far better geared toward drawing as opposed to photography.
Illustrator is incredible too.

here is a quick run-through for drawing programs,
1- Photoshop: Obviously the standard of the current industry. Most people ask that you are accustom to it for work. If you are doing this for hobby, it might be scary with the amounts of things you need to learn. Photoshop is great for photo editing, color manipulation, effects, etc. The brushes that they offer (especially since they now have the Kyle Brush for free) are godly, but some of the brushes can lag since a lot if you don't have enough ram. There are also a lot of tutorials available that you won't run out of things to learn. Best for painting style drawing. Paying a monthly fee is off-putting for a lot of people.

2- Paint Tool Sai: Light weight program, easy to learn. I love the palette spot where you can save colors and mixed them. they are not equipped with tons of functions that will make your head spin and is straight forward. They have a build-in stabilizer if you happen to have shaky hand. You can still make great art with it but their brush setting is not as refined as I would love it to be. Also, the wacom rotation wheel doesn't work with their rotating screen which makes it really annoying for me.

3-Clip Studio Pro/EX: This is a great tool for lineart base drawings, and even better for manga. They have 3D poser for your drawings. Their brush settings is the best of the 3. Very versatile and useful. This program can save you a lot of time if you want to draw details quickly. They also have a lot of materials in their library for free. Bad side of this program is that it really lack good tutorials in english. Most references and books are all in japanese, making it difficult for people who rely on tutorials or videos harder to get it.

For westerners, people use Photoshop. For Japan, they use clip studio pro. But in the end, it really depends on what you need and want. Hope this helps

it's more about the availability of resource, class, tutorials and the preferred art style than geographic location. In Japan, they start to have many classes and online school that use clip studio paint. Drawing manga become much easier with it. Photoshop lineart is sloppy and not refined. So for anime and manga which are line based work, they tend to use csp more than ps.

In school, ps is basic for people. Most people who go to school have to learn it. But taking from a beginner's perspective, it is taunting and expensive. But it is a really great program for painting.

But nowadays people have start to have learn more programs in school like sketchup and 3d models

i'm not sure. i think i used a lot of layers for the background alone and some use of layer modes. my to go modes are normal, multiply, luminosity and overlay. also some tweaking with layer opacity

I mainly used a textured brush (fuzystatic). It's kinda rough on the edges so it gives off that painting vibe. For the light I painted a mix of nearly white and some light yellow with somewhere around 30% opacity, then I just keep stacking from there

I think there's a similar type of brush like that in Photoshop but I haven't found it yet
