#How to set game-resolution?

Excuse my ignorance but both in BB Classic and BB3 I have no idea how to set the resolution (of my level). I know about preferences/scaling and the game frame (Classic) but I'm not familiar with some input-window to simply tell BB to set my res to X x Y.

So let's say I add an image as a background (Classic) or as a static object (BB3) with a resolution of 1920x1080. How do i set the gameplay resolution to 1920x1080 as well ?
(So my image is shown full screen without clipping).

I understand not every device uses this resolution or height/width dimension but that's not the point for now 😉

In settings options you have a fit to option that can be auto, height or width that's where you can make sure the screen strechees based on what you selected

For what you need I think a scaling of the camera can do the trick but that's for bb3

Hi Vlad, thank you for replying but that's not working. I've tried scaling with the cam, and it is (somewhat) working but not ideal nor very precise. Rereading my post, I might not have explained my problem well enough.

What I'm trying to do is:

  • import a background (1920x1080)
  • set my screen accordingly (1920x1080). Here the problem starts as I do not have an option to change the screen size.

Testing the level cuts off my background, no matter what scaling option I use.

So it seems BB is using a particular default screen-size.

Will add a gif later to show the problem 🙂

Thx so far
