1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
hi I’ll be in japan in april for 2 weeks
. It will be my third trip! super excited
Interested, 22M. plan on being there 14th-28th and want to try some boulders!
Do you have an idea on what days youre gonna go? Ill be in Tokyo from the 13-18.
New Soul looks really fun, ill definitely be trying that. Mine no Yu looks too difficult for me personally though hahah, itll be my first time climbing outdoors actually. Only climb v5/6 indoors atm
Hey, ill be in japan from 21st of april to 9th of may, tanking the golden week in osaka, hit me up if your dates overlap
I'll share this here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15c128ZQYqlzlU-47PTCHQ3HfzKgVtG7-KSwnm8CsX28/edit?gid=0#gid=0
someone made a spreadsheet for planning things. it worked out very well and was great for seeing where people are
🙌
I’ll be going 😁 reservations booked April 1 - April 15 it will be my second time around
@jagged widget hey buddy, how you doing nice to see you’ll be in town
March 27 to April 10 in Tokyo
lol have we met?
I’m trying to remember when lol
You , @quiet wing @leaden hemlock @warped wharf we had drinks at a bar one time where the female host play games with you
Was that the place where we ordered tempura and sushi?
That was 100% not me
You are mixed right?
lol
No
I also don't drink alcohol, so you'd never see me in a bar
No I never met up with that group of people.
yeah its me, but I didn't meet up with anyone
Oh, I thought you did but yeah, I remember you
I don't ever do the drinking meetups since I don't drink alcohol and I don't stay out past last train. On 2/27 I was in Shimokitazawa eating curry and going to a live house show at basement bar
I left Osaka on 2/20
I was there on 2/18 and 2/19 for a live house show for The Tomboys
lol yeah I move around a lot
OK bet do you live in Japan or do you just travel there often?
Travel a lot
23M first time I’ll be in Japan a mix of Kyoto/osaka/ Tokyo from the 11th-26th!!!
Solo traveller, I’m down to party in evenings !!
Is there something like this for April?
I'll set it up later
@everyone Here's the April 2025 Meetup sheet, feel free to use it and let's set up some events!
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rsoiTftbyO5-FXrRhc3jVG9bDBMY8gKwzCkm-vHeEVo/edit?usp=sharing
cool i just added
is there any events going on in april that need to booked in advanced ?
i know theres nintendo museum reservation going on this month for april
I wanna go to opening day of world expo
Feel like it would be a lil more special then any other day
oh cool I didn’t know it is open until Oct 13 2025
Did more research on Expo 2025, it looks really interesting! Ill be down to go but wont be there for opening day
Our dates are the really similar. I’m there 12-26th.
Regardless of the expo. We will defo link up! What dates are you where? Have you figured it out yet?
I will be in Osaka 12-15th
Kyoto 16-19
Tokyo 19-26
holyy ado is performing opening day
https://www.expovisitors.expo2025.or.jp/events
EXPO 2025 Visitorsは大阪・関西万博の来場者向け公式ポータルサイトです。会場マップ、パビリオンやイベントの最新情報などを提供しております。
abit rough, but here what I got so far
the huge gundam gonna be there too
https://www.bandainamco.co.jp/en/gundam-next-future-pavilion/
Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. will exhibit a pavilion at the EXPO 2025 OSAKA, KANSAI, JAPAN. “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” will connect people around the world through Gundam and create a place of inspiration to think about the “future”. This is the link to the “future”
I assume hotel prices in osaka will be higher than usual for a couple days when this expo opens?
I'll be traveling solo from April 1-22
This is my itinerary:
Tokyo: April 2-8
Numazu: April 8-11
Osaka: April 11-17
Chiba: April 17-19
Yamanashi: April 19-20
Back to Tokyo: April 21-22
Im heading back to Japan in April, though i havent locked in anything really concrete, besides D1 Lights in Nikko on the 5th and 6th, but i'll mostly be sticking to Tokyo this trip from the 2nd to the 14th
Seemed the same price as other dates in other areas tbh
Maybe more likely to sell out closer to the time
Nice bro we will be in shibuya/ shinjuku a lot too at same time
You staying in 2 different places in Tokyo then? I see you listed shibuya and shinjuku
I was gonna just stay in one. But you’re making me consider split it into 2 as well
yup to get the nightlife in Shibuya and Shinjuku , I’m doing hostels in both
I’ve done it before in November
Oh ok
It’s my first time coming
Think I should do the same?
Same reasons as me. Night life
Would you be able to circle on a map the areas I should exactly be in for night life bro. Struggling to pick where
Well, Shibuya and Shinjuku so close to each other, only matters if you think your gonna still be out after 12am since trains shutdown.
But definitely they have different vibes for sure. I do this so I don’t get bored staying in the same hotel / area for like 8 days
Yeh I’ll probably be going out at 12 not going home lol
Nice I’ll book 2 separate then
Just struggling with locations
I did unplan shinjuku hostel last time, and I thought it was in a good location. I have booked it again this april. it’s only like $55 a night
Is it in the heart of shinjuku?
Close the clubs
😎 hell yeah
We lit broski
Nice bro. Where you stay?
Yes
Damn no way
One of my favorite clubs there is Neverland
I believe so
There’s one I found in Osaka
That’s my vibe
Tbh I’m on anyone’s and everyone’s vibe
But if I get to choose lol
@leaden hemlock & I Went last year and we’re gonna be there this April
gonna visit for the first time in april 5th to 22th, road something like 7 days in osaka, after it arima-onsen 1 day, 3 days in takamatsu and rest days in tokyo
You gonna be there my dates?
Nice that’s interesting. I’m doing the basic Osaka Kyoto and Tokyo
This photo is blurry, but this was club Neverland. It was packed.
well, my journey kind of was made basic on different russian guides by people whos spent a lot of years travelleing and it's like "optimal" guide to visit different places
That’s not basic 🤣
Nahhh it defo is 😂
lol I see you go hard in the paint
basic probably tokyo and "LMAO WE'RE ROLLING . JAPAN YAAAAAAAAA!!!"
I ain’t done 0 research and there’s 100 itinerarys imma copy
😂
This is my second year to Japan and I only done Tokyo this next time around. I’m going to be doing the night bus to Osaka with my wife and kids for a few days.
Nice bro
Damn a family trip
Yeh drinks are definitely on this guy
actually, you can use google translate and literally check whole guide, there's a lot of stuff in here https://riberium.yonote.ru/share/15ec4fbd-666b-4a26-844a-82e61a48cea3
Damn right
Sounds like a mortgage 😂
I got the third round, buddy 🤣
fuck, you cant translate with GT, well, sorry then
My official drink of Japan
I swear I’m taking some home if I can. You can’t find this anywhere not even online in the United States
You gonna go to the expo?
Yeh imma need you to put me on what to try ngl
Bro I don’t eat fish at all. Will I struggle
expo? not sure, seems like im gonna leave when it's gonna start, a lot of tourists and even japanese gonna be there
bad idea, i think
Appreciate it bro. But I will never click on a Russian link😂
It starts the 13th April
well, it looks like that, if want to - you're welcome
Oh great detail
i actually used notion, but switched to that one
I need to make a guide of what to do it’s just so overwhelming
actually can send notion link probably
So many things
well, ye
gonna be my first trip, want to cover more places but understand there's a chance to burn out plus im not only one there
I got you 💯
There’s a lot of options out there
Don’t worry, G you got this
Yeah thats how ive felt. Just slowly chip away at it whenever you have time. Mine is slowly coming along
You still have a few months, just dont keep pushing it off 🤣
hi all, will be in tokyo from april 1 - april 5. down to meet, bar hop, explore place etc
nice one, thx
there’s this spreedsheet, remember to add to it 😁
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rsoiTftbyO5-FXrRhc3jVG9bDBMY8gKwzCkm-vHeEVo/edit?usp=sharing
It’s better viewed on desktop and when you make a copy of the map
Yooo im 26 male imma be in tokyo april 2-9 and osaka april 10-14 if anyones dates lineup. Down to go out at night or do whatever really
Hahaha we will get there eventually
You’re the goat
If anyone’s going to world expo opening day. Tickets to apply for the lottery for ADO’s performance start from January 13th
I’ve never listed to Japanese music in my life. So hopefully I win it although there is 100% more deserving people I’m sure
This is awesome, good job!!!!
Ill be there from april 2nd to the 30th! all be most of the time in Tokyo! hit me up for some drinks if you like!
oh didnt realize Osaka Expo was soon
Me too
btw anyone going to D1 Lights in April?
cause im going to rent a car, and if anyone wants a ride
Has anyone reviewed your itinerary yet?
I posted it on Reddit but I guess it got lost in the other 100 posts and I replies lol
0 replies +
Post it in #planning-and-itineraries in a thread
same, but at least bought the 1st half of all tickets and flight
flying for the first time is stressing for sure
what is D1 Lights?
Oh didn’t know that thank you mate
For real. I just feel like this is taking away the excitement
just updated https://www.nippon.com/en/japan-data/h02271/
Its a drift competition
ohh cool
Anyone know where to find good car meetups March 23-April 14 haha
Could be wrong, but is there one in Yokohama?
Anyone know of any events in Kyushu in mid-end April?
What date ?
Oh thanks! That's a good place to start
I'll definitely be there, been my dream to experience the car culture
im planning goin daikoku pa on a friday if any wanna join
gonna rent a car
i have idp license
Are you gonna be staying in Yokohama?
Its the 5th and 6th (or the sat/sunday)
You think the 18th would work for you? Itll be the only friday im in Tokyo but id be down
ahh I’ll still be in osaka, was planning on going like the 25th April
When are you in Osaka?
I'm there from March 28 to April 5
Going to hit up a few concerts/shows and the Miyako Odori
April 15-19
ohh I didn’t know about miyako dori, haven’t looked at all for festivals and experiences yet but definitely looks interesting
Book tickets
For those who will be in Japan in April, you will probably want to go see this in Kyoto - https://miyako-odori.jp/english/

Interesting! Thanks for sharing im gonna look into it
Is there a application where you can help set up your itinerary for travel?
Like with AI
?
Not sure but this what i do
- Use chatgpt, “What is there to do at ____”, “Make me an itinerary for ____ “
- Search youtube / discord / reddit for ideas.
- Use the #planning-and-itineraries
- Check klook for any activities
- Create google map / Scope location out and drop pins for like locations, stores, restaurants
- Use spreadsheets to track everything
I am posting this twice just in case people aren't also in the March channel.
For those who will be in Kyoto in March/April. Do note that its only for April 1 and 2 for April people.
The tickets for the Kitano Odori just went up for application - https://www.confetti-web.com/events/5685
you can try with wanderlog.com but they AI stuff is subscription based
If you find any kindly let me know as well plz.

Make sure you buy some priority tickets in advance if you want them for fuji Q
and get there at opening
dang it, waited til today to buy my tickets for miyako odori, got bad seats
To be honest it was like that for most dates even like 1-2 weeks ago
a few good seats did pop up here and there
but they were largely booked out the second they dropped
ahh gotcha, well i guess ill still be able to expierence it, just not up close lol
Its not a large theater
i was gonna visit himeji and kobe again that day so thats why i was undeceive until now, but i realize i could just see himeji on my way back from hiroshima and ive already gone to kobe last trip

I'll be in Tokyo April 9-20!
hello
So I just booked my flight for march 18th. ill be there all of april. is anyone going to the Tech expo?
Osaka Expo right?
yes
Im going, just not sure what day yet. Between the 20th-25 though
I want to try and go on opening day just because I assume there will be some big opening ceremony. though I'm not sure if you need tickets for that. still trying to decide on accomidations for my stay
but I expect there will be alot to see at least a weeks worth of visits
well doom on me
ya but I never win anything lol
I just wanna go to this one lol
Bandai Namco Holdings Inc. will exhibit a pavilion at the EXPO 2025 OSAKA, KANSAI, JAPAN. “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” will connect people around the world through Gundam and create a place of inspiration to think about the “future”. This is the link to the “future”
see the big gundam
oh they are going to have the life sized gundam there?
yup
honestly should have guessed that
I believe it’s the one from yokohama they moved or repurposed idk
im really curious what companies are going to be showcasing new stuff. like what kinda of surprises are gonna be popped out at this expo
yeah me too, I’m not entirely sure what the expo is about
Though it does look interesting
omg can u still join lottery for this
I mean it is the World Tech Expo
I think its the first time japan has hosted it since the 70s
no it was hosted in osaka in 1990 and 1970
@meager mantle is it just me or is their ticket purchase system a pain to navigate?
it’s confusing yea
I just bought mine from klook
they give me a code to enter in the site
im looking at buying the season pass so I can just jump on in whenever I can and feel like. not sure how big the event is or how much there will be to see
it be nice if they had a cheaper version like the summer pass but for the first half
they have first half ticket from 4/13 to 7/18
Hey 24M from Australia, coming to Japan from April 20 - May 10, been in Osaka last year and met lots of great ppl in this discord. Hoping to make great memories again
Will be staying in Tokyo for the entire trip🙏
Wish I could go, but i leave before opening day
There’s no way around it you will get lost in Shinjuku station
Hi everyone, me and my girlfriend will be travelling Japan from April until June. Looking to hang out with other travellers while visiting different cities. Nice to meet you all
@meager mantle hey do you know how the subway works for the expo? I booked one for opening hour of opening day for the subway entrance and can not find info on how or where I would even get on around osaka
im trying to book a accommodations that are more convenient for that timeframe.
i found this:
check the gate you've chosen when buying the ticket, for example i bought tickets and im entering from east gate so im taking the metro
same. and I wanna find a place to stay that will be easy to access it for other visits
i opted for staying near osaka station (not shin osaka) for ease of exploring the rest of osaka
im gonna be near kujo station and dome-mae station
if your entering east gate, you can get their by train from the chuo line which starts at hommachi station
which is like a 20 min ride
ya I should be able to get on at kujo station
its about a 10 min walk for me
ah im staying near namba station
Hello everyone, I will be in Japan 30 March to 21 April I look forward to hopefully running into some of you there
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rsoiTftbyO5-FXrRhc3jVG9bDBMY8gKwzCkm-vHeEVo/edit?usp=sharing
remember to add to this spreadsheet if ur going in april
60 more days till i'll be there
Added myself for April but I'm doing a unique route in Kyushu
I've added myself as well, though I don't think my itinerary will work for anyone until April 18
counting my days
Hello everyone! I'll be making my way from Osaka to Tokyo from the 26th of Apr to the 7th of May, solo. Hoping to make a few friends along the way!
I hope you are prepared for insane costs. You're travelling during Golden Week.
Damn I’ll plan ahead, thanks for the warning!
You're welcome
glad i‘m not the only one with a timer here 😂
71 for me 💀
more time for saving up
i‘m already scared about my savings 😂 travelling 3 times to Japan in 12 months do be slightly expensive
This trip was rather impulsive for me
same for all my trips 😅
same here
tbf Japan is not so great for spontaneous visits if you want to do touristy things. if you just want to soak up what is referred to as culture often, it’s perfectly fine
literally me
. I went to japan the first time in april 2024 and i liked it so much i went again solo in november. Now I’m repeating the cycle 🔁
i went solo in may/june, again in nov/dec and again now in mar/apr 😂
did we meet
in November?
nope, we missed each other i think
wait
unless
..i met with a group of 9 folks there once and we lost some people on the way
ah im not sure though i left the 24th nov
possible still because i arrived Nov 23 and got tossed into that situation right away 😂
i assume not though. i think we had nobody that needed to catch a plane next day
that looks awesome
If you arrive april 1 or 2 in Kyoto
You can also catch the kitano odori
dang idk that would be tough i land on the 30 of march
did you like unplan?? i’m considering that hostel, interested in nightlife!
My experience there wasn’t bad, I liked it. They got a bar, common area and rooftop people chill at and they got events going on everyday
there’s also a 7/11 across the street
gotchu thanks! is it mostly foreigners?
Ya I’m going to eat drink and shop mostly
Anyone down to go to Fuji-Q and do the Labyrinth of Fear (and coasters)? I am hoping to be their either April 7th or 8th
any recommendations of places to stay in Tokyo I would guess Hostels are the best to meet people right?
See pins in #accommodations for general Tokyo advice
haha that’s my plan, though I might do a quick trip to Korea before japan in nov
lmaoo just went in august and comming back in april lmaooo
Fuji q is an all day affair
Unless you buy express tickets for every ride
I’ve done it several times
For there 30 minutes before opening
And stayed till an hour before closing
The waits for the rides take an hour usually
Except eejankia that’s like 2-3 hours
The labyrinth of fear takes an hour just to go through
April might be slightly busier at Fuji Q. I last visited in May 2023 on a Thursday: Eejanaika waits 40-60 min, Takabisha 10-20 min
I plan on buying express for the main coasters 😊 I don’t care much for pendulum swings, but I may get an express pass for one of the dark/4D rides if that’s available too.
Just note that it’s about $20 USD per ride
So for all 4 main rides it’ll cost $80
Hi all,
I'll be traveling solo, my schedule is this:
March 30-Apil 3: Kyoto
April 3-April 9: Tokyo
April 9-April 21: Sendai & Tohoku
April 21-25: Osaka
Would be nice to meet people along the way, I'm not too much into touristy things or night life tho, more like museums and walking around
Thank you for letting me know! I checked the website and marked my calendar already to make sure I don’t miss out on those.
For those going to Osaka Expo, what pavilions and events I should try to reserve for?
i just know about the gundam pavilion and then there are some events that happen in the evenings like
- Air and Water Show ( 19:10 or 20:30 )
- Physical Twin Symphony ( 11 or 14:30 or 18:00 )
seems like most of the stuff will have to be reserved 🤔
@untold valley honestly unsure rn, whatever has food I guess
What 😦
not all of them, but some pavillows will allow enter by standing in line
i have ticket for 10am opening, but im not sure i wanna enter that early and stay until 9pm to catch the other events in the evenings
it says you can reserve up to 5 pavilions / events, but do you only get to win 1 🤔
reservations period ends on feb 19
Just enough time for one more paycheck
I'll probably hit you up, when I go to reserve mine
THE VERY LAST DAY IN OCTOBER IS HAITI 🤬
I'll be in Tokyo March 28th-April 9th. Not sure how the Tokyo Dome tickets work but really hoping to catch a baseball game I see on April 4th. Working during the week overnight (USA times) but hoping to meet some people to see some live music gets some drinks over the weekend.
Welcome, check this for live music
https://www.reddit.com/r/JapanTravel/comments/14sum76/how_to_access_live_music_in_japan_and_why_it/
What up habo - i've been to a handful of your events last couple times i've been to Tokyo. Hope you've been well man
He just had a great show yesterday
Heyyy thanks for being part of it
If you’re here on the 15th

Japan is gearing up for the World Expo 2025, which will open in mid-April on the artificial island of Yumeshima on Osaka Bay. This edition will feature 158 countries and regions from around the world, and is themed 'Designing Future Society for Our Lives'. But with three months to go, the event is drawing criticism for rising costs and slow con...
booked world expo for the first day. i hate chosing events/pavillons lottery though
Aww I'm not gonna make the first day, gonna take a quick vacation to my vacation with a weekend in Seoul
Maybe that night I could 🤔
i had other things planned but i might as well go to world expo when i'm around anyways
i didn't want to go to osaka again this time though
bit bummed out about it
You didn't want to be in Osaka why's that?
i like Osaka, but it's in the middle of an area i don't really want to explore at the moment. i keep ending up there somehow 😆
i wanted to do a different route for once. but gladly expo start is at the 2nd last day of my trip, so i can just go from Osaka to maybe Yokohama to leave from there
last time i wanted to stay longer in Sendai area, but i had a concert of my favourite band in the middle of my trip. so once again i was kinda stuck there
I’m going expo on the 19th
i'll by crying about being in Europe again on the 19th
probably already budgeting for the next trip then xD
lol yes you can always plan another trip
..why is that country so damn addictive?
i had places where i wanted to go back before, but i wasn't becoming insane enough to actually go back all the time
Oh and I forgot heated toliets
oh god, the heated toilets

and i can feel safe as a shy introvert
and drunk enough to not be a shy introvert anymore
perfect country
Planning a trip to Europe after I'm done with this trip to Japan
awesome^^ what countries are you going to?
Right now I'm thinking France Poland and maybe Spain
that's quite a route, will you stop in other countries in between?
or just fly from Poland?
I haven't decided yet, my hesitation is not knowing anyone that lives in the other countries
ah solo travelling is nice though, and usually the people you know in those countries might hang out, but they don't accompany you anyways. so might as well go to other places and get to know people^^
if you go to Poland i would also go to Czech Republic, i love Prague, it's so pretty^^
and Spain and France are so big, there's s a ton of places to visit in a single trip for each 😄
I will likely be solo on that trip as well. Mostly having Simone that lives there gives me an excuse to be there I guess 😅. I should go see more but IDK what else to see my Europeian geography is pretty unexciting.
Im gonna pick another new european country to visit this year too post japan trip
where are you thinking of going?
I did spain/greece/portugal last year
I quite fancy Italy but that doesn't feel like a solo trip destination to me, it feels too romantic. Just as an outsider.
I kinda wanna visit Paris
.
yeah im going to stop there for sure i have a relative there so i'm semi obligated.
bumping this! i'm currently organising a night out at Mogra (an anime club) in Tokyo on 4th April, do let me know if you're interested!
What city
@glacial prairie Tickets for April should go on sale starting February 22nd. I bought some 2 years ago through this site https://quick.pia.jp/swallows_en/?top=date , it's in English and the process is very straight forward. Was able to pick-up the tickets directly at the stadium at will-call. The game was a highlight of my trip and I highly recommend making the effort to go.
thanks for the info and link. I thought I had seen that they went on sale later in the month but I'm glad you confirmed it for me. previous times I've tried they've always been sold out so I just assumed that was the case.
You know if it's the same for the Tokyo Dome tickets - think that's where the giants play
You can purchase them through the links on the official Tokyo Giants website. Tickets for the game on April 4th will go on sale on February 15th
Hey guys, I’m in Tokyo from 10th- 15th April. I’m down to get drinks and go clubbing on the 12th!
Hey there, thanks for the info! I’ll be in Tokyo from 3/31 to 4/6 and going to a baseball game has been on top of my list of things to do. Any advice on picking seats?
hell yeah. thanks bro.
I'll be there but I have a terrible memory so please pass send reminders lol
Just a reminder for anyone here on the 15th #1336278288322269184
and be sure to get an April role for more info about events etc. id:customize
ghibli park tickets are available now for April
opened up 30 mins ago https://s.klook.com/c/Vw5J_pZzXD
I only got to purchase standard tickets. I was about to enter my payment information when my premium ticket slot sold out 😭
I have both, first bought the standard ticket
and then I saw premium open up
lucky I bought no show protection so I get like 60% refunded
now I’m trying to plan my Nagoya trip around it, I have 2pm grand warehouse time entry 🤔
So my friend was helping me out, and his queue was for residents and I didn’t realize it until I tried putting in my payment information and it kept refusing every single card I tried to use
I’m not too sure what’s around there, but I’ve heard that it takes a while to actually go through and see the park.
I was gonna only stay like 3-4 hours
not sure if that would be enough
I’m going by myself so I would think it would go by quick
I’m only passing by for quick stop in nagoya, hopefully it doesn’t feel too cramped 😅
My friend and I are doing the same. We are headed straight for USJ after walking around the park. All I honestly wanted to see was Kiki’s home. Of course I want to see everything else too, I’m a massive fan, but Kiki’s Delivery Service was a movie my grandma and I would watch together all the time before she passed away. So it’s more of a sentimental visit than just a tourist site to visit.
You got this! It sounds like tons of fun! I am sure you’ll be able to accomplish it all
Just make sure to stay hydrated 😅
Ghibli Park is pretty far out, it takes an hour to get there from Nagoya. So getting back to Osu Shotengai for 4pm might be a little rushed
and 6pm is a bit early for ‘night vibes’ (sunset is at 6:30pm that day)
Make sure your hotel will let you check in at 9pm
reminder for those that have an expo ticket:
Wed. Feb. 12, 2025 23:59 (JST) is closing for the 2month in advance lottery if you haven't applied yet
^ and pavilion/events reservation close on feb 19, which I still have to do 😅
ahh true, I may have to get to nagoya earlier or drop something. I onyl care about the toyota museum and ghibli park really and eating something nagoya exclusive
left over nintendo museum tickets for april just opened up for reservations
they will be gone quick
Ill be at the Osaka Expo on the 20th in case anyone else is going that day, hmu! 🙂
im going Saturday the 19th
17th here
Anyone here planning to see Ado 26 or 27?
@final saddle I'll be in Tokyo from april 10 to 18
Sweet that lines up perfect, ill be in Tokyo 13-19 so any of those dates would work for me
Ill let you take the wheel on where to go if thats cool, i have no dietary restrictions so whatever is fine with me
going to be in tokyo from 3-14 Apr in Tokyo then Osaka for the opening of Expo, anyone else going?
yeeh, imma select my 5 pavilion reservations soon
What pavilions is everyone choosing or chose for the lottery?
I’m not sure yet but here what I have in my notes
can choose up to 5:
- Gundam Pavillion ( time ? )
- Air and Water Show ( 19:10 or 20:30 )
- Physical Twin Symphony ( 11 or 14:30 or 18:00 )
- Tech World Pavilion ( time ? )
- Japan Pavillion ( time ? )
- Phillipines Pavilion ( time ?)
events not requried reserivation:
- One World One Planet ( after sunset )
—-
There is also these lotteries
- 7 days advance lottery prior to visit
- Same day lottery
Sadly expo opens after i leave japan
I'm still sad i didn't get a reservation for Future of Life pavillon. in case you're into tech check that one out too
wait they already selected lottery winners?
2month in advance lottery closes 2 months before your selected entry date
ohhhh
i visit on 13 April, so mine is already closed^^
gotcha thanks!
I wonder what time I should go
was thinking like 12pm I don’t wanna go early and be there all day
i selected 12 because i won't be in Osaka beforehand, I have to plan in travel time
keep in mind you can't select pavillons for a few hours after entrance though, they probably will let you select one after checkin on the premise though
and make sure to check the times of the pavillon visits. they don't have those in the booking overview, but only in the descriptions. would be a mess to win 2 and miss one slot
I’m going opening day, too! I only got one of the 5 reservations I applied for and freaked out until I read about the 7-day lottery.
My only thing is, if we don’t get reservations there is no other way of entering the pavilion?
you can go to many pavillons that are open without reservations. it's just the ones with fixed schedules it seems that need reservations. there's still 1 month in advance and 7 days in advance lottery, and i think you can book one slot still after entering 🙂 so chances are still there to get into other places
most countries pavillons don't need reservations at all
i also only got one, for the Australia pavillon
Perf! I didn’t pick those cause I figured that it would be counterintuitive to make them reservation only at… the world fair 😂
And oooh! How fun! I want to see everything but know I won’t be able to 😅
yeahhh Australia pavillon sounded interesting to me because i never managed to visit but always wanted to go^^ but in hindsight i should have stuck with the tech pavillons or concerts i want to see 😅 maybe next lottery
i think it will be interesting either way though
Hahaha, I totally get it! I’ve always wanted to go to see the NYE on the Sydney Harbor 🥲
Reading all the pavilion summaries were quite overwhelming but I picked ones that required seats (just for a guaranteed seat) or had tech experiences that required reservations. I got a ticket starting at 12PM so I know I may not make it in time to put myself on some reservations while I’m there. Just hoping to get some before entering 😅
yeah i took 12pm ticket as well because i will not stay in Osaka beforehand. i doubt i could make 10am entrance. it sucks a bit that they don't let you book a few hours after check in. 😅
i really hoped to get a ticket to either chopin concert at the poland pavillon, or REALLY i mainly hope to get into future of life pavillon to see android erica
i'm sure there will be many interesting and cool experiences either way though
I had those two on my list, too, and didn’t get either 🙃
I’m manifesting we get them this next round 🙏🏼
Very true!! I’m quite excited this is my first world fair! I worked in themed entertainment, and everyone I knew in the industry went to the one in Dubai. I wanted to go so bad, but this is my redemption arc
keeping my fingers crossed too! 🤞
ahh so many people i know went to Dubai too and were really excited, they even sent some apprentices there from my workplace. i sure hope Japan does a great job as well, even though they probably don't put AS much money in as Dubai
Not the apprentices 😫 that is so savage. And valid point. I’m hoping it’ll be a great turnout 🥲
We finally got our table at Monk but we are 2 in a table of 4, so needs 2 more to join us!! Just me and my husband. Reservation on 15 April, 20:00 - menu is ¥15,400 for 7 course
https://g.co/kgs/8C9fyqe
not being antagonistic. i love food love trying new things and i would love to join you, just wondering what is special about this place.
thanks for the questions - I got recommended by my friends who visited the place last year, and Japan has a very weird fusion way of mixing different ingredients when it comes to pizza like putting teriyaki chickens and we love it, so while indulging ourselves with the traditional stuff, we would want to take a break with some fusion food as well.
just buying my tickets now and i m not sure which events and pavilions i want yet.
ill join if you'll have me. i am solo however so if you find a better pair feel free to take it just let me know.
sent a friend request to discuss more!
I read somewhere you only get 1 of your 5 lottery options for each draw, but I cant find where I saw that
it's likely that, but considering how bad their general websites are.. i also assume their lottery systems are equally umm..
well crafted?
Unfortunately I'll be going on the 18th
Hi all, I'll be in Tokyo from April 11 to April 22.
Anyone going to the race at Suzuka?
Dang 4 of us will all miss each other by 1 day, from the 17-20 lol
I know it's just the day that goes best with my schedule.
What race
Formula 1!
That sounds interesting, when, where, and how much?
I got my ticket off https://ticket.mobilitystation.jp/event/venue/SC2025F1
it’s the 4th through the 6th for the whole weekend
i got my ticket a few months back for like $160 us for the whole weekend
staying in Nagoya and getting a bus down there for the event days
I would love to go, but we have a meet up that day
Wait
I thought it was only the 4th
So if I buy a ticket for the 4th I can come the 5 or 6th
yeah, tickets go for the whole weekend 🙂
i think i might only go the 5th and 6th, the 4th my wife and i might go somewhere together
but she hates rich men racing cars lol
so i do the race days alone
Aight I'll let you know when I buy my tickets, I'll join you
hell yea!! i’m sitting in one of the grandstands on the esses, i think it’s d section but id have to look when im home
I went in 2023 so i dont see the need to go again
But however, i am going to D1L
where theres going to be a lot more close action
Is it assigned seats? Or just section
it’s assigned seats if you have a proper seat in a numbered or lettered section
but there is a general admission option that lets you just access hilly areas with a lawn chair basically
yea i got section d-2 row 9
the osaka expo site is so ass
🤣🤣🤣 have you used the app yet? Cuz it's.....
choosing, these hopefully I get them
I didn’t realize not all country pavilions will be available
most don’t need a reservation
i wish we were going the same day we have almost the same wishlist
they are sold out in that section
just looked into her and man I like it! looks like its sold out though 😦
I am interested
@drifting arrow i dont take it you know any other similar artists that might be performing in April?
after discovering this im left yearning for more. i want to hear it live lol
There isn't much city pop around because no one in Japan really likes or listens to city pop
Here are some wonderful retro revival acts though
- Amaiwana
- harukaze record
- Milk Talk
- Nishi Naoki
- Cosmic Mauve
- Rip van cats
It’s true 🥲 new generation doesn’t listen at all
Wasn't even all that popular back in the day... It was a subgenre of kayokyoku for hedonistic yuppies
Plastic Love was totally forgotten to time
feelsbad
thank you!
Also consider visiting
https://maps.app.goo.gl/mamBsRRSFRpMc5y78
Say less. Appreciate it
I’ve been meaning to visit opk as well, if you need a buddy to tag along lmk
Giant fan of city pop
Itd be a pleasure, ive added it to my itinerary. I'll be free 14, and 16-18th night
any padel enjoyers in chat
dang I only won one lottery for osaka expo, the japan pavillion
did anyone win more than one? Is it possible?
not possible, you can only win 1 per lottery
I've played once when invited by colleagues and enjoyed it
so fun right
will be in tokyo on 8 - 10 apr if anyone wants to play
I found a court near skytree
Unfortunately I arrive at the 11th, or I would've checked to fit it into my itinerary
I don't have any updates, where did you find out. Did they email you?
R U using rail pass for this?
railpass is not needed. Hes going one direction
Also. I would not stay in Osaka if you're going to Hiroshima. 3/4 of your day will be wasted on trains.
If he sticks to his hotels, rail pass might help(?)
man, find decent not that pricey hotels for 4x in tokyo is almost impossible, well, on asakusa line i mean
“4x”?
It took me awhile to decipher that in my brain
I think maybe 4 nights?
Otherwise.. 4x points on a credit card?
For 4 people?
Exactly. Just needed some clarification lol
Four wheel drive
For what dates?
Nope. Only won gundam
they should have emailed you, or you can click on your ticket and it will tell you the status
that is the one I wanted 🥲, guess I’ll be playing line up for it
I wanted that life plus game tbh. Sounded super cool. (I may have the name wrong)
Hi all, me and my cousin want to go to the Muscle Girl Bar
https://musclegirls.jimdofree.com/
Does anyone know how early in advance we can make a reservation?
筋肉女子 マッスルガールズバー - Muscle Girls Bar。東京都池袋にOPEN!バキバキの筋肉女子や、理想の体型を目指す筋肉好き女子まで多数在籍!!
If you absolutely want to do something, I'd make a reservation once the day you want to go on is available
I’m trying to go as well 💪
well if I have time lol
I’ll be in ikebukuro on april 21st
Think my friends booked a month in advance but you probably don’t need to
it depends on when you visit, it’s closing 2 months before your visit date and afterwards you get a mail
everyone i know of has only won 1. so chose wisely what to select 😅
bumping this! i'm currently organising a night out at Mogra (an anime club) in Tokyo on 4th April, do let me know if you're interested!
I'll be in Tokyo around that time. Still dunno what to do some days, cause I've kinda been around already hah
Was just gonna try to find cool lil places to go and try food from many joints
It'll be on 4th night till 5th morning!!
If you'd like to come along
No promises, I'll let you know how I'm feeling closer to the date, since it's the tailend of a month-long trip all over the place haha
Sure!
I gotta make reservations?
I'll come with y'all depending on what date you pick
I'll be in Tokyo April 1-9th and would be down for Muscle bar as well if it lines up with the others
Looking at their reservation page, they allow you to reserve up to March 22nd as of today, so looks like a month in advance? It also says reservations for up to 4 persons at a time, so if there are 5 or more persons then there need to be multiple reservations
So we'll talk about it again next week then
@frank bear @slim shoal My cousin and I are in Tokyo from 4/14 to 4/21. If y'all want to make a reservation together let me know. Combined, we would be a group of 4.
I'll have to look at my schedule the 14 and 15 work for me
I'm in Tokyo from 3/31 to 4/6 so I don't think that's possible for me haha
Drats, ok
Oooh, mind if I join? I’ll be there the 16th-18th but have plans on the 16th
Not at all! We can set a date as we get closer to the April? That should work fine for me though
Works for me!
Would definitely love to tag along as well that looks pretty awesome
Has there been any talks of people meeting up for clubbing/ bars?
#1330541450018029588
^ guaranteed 😂
Oh ok
I guess just wait till it’s actually April to start talking about it then
Thanks btw
Yea most drinking is spontaneous
Hihi, I'm actually organising one on 4th April at MOGRA if you're interested
Ahh I’m in Tokyo for the last 2 weeks
Ah, tragic 😦
Thank you though
no worries!
i plan on going mogra too. i can plan a day out when april comes or could just be a spontaneous decision for one them nights
would you like to join us? or will you only be around after 4 april?
won’t be in Tokyo until April 15 to 27 😅
just found it in my junk mail. i got the thailand pavilion. for noon
Nice, i got Future City. If you guys really want a certain pavilion keep in mind you can apply for multiple time slots for a higher chance 🤞🏾
That's a good point
I wonder if I should just have bought two tickets lol
double the chances
damn that is the move
Never too late
oh ye, late af response but ye, 4 people, cause for 2 we need separate beds and for other 2 one single is ok
but anyway, found some good option for us, for 5 nights in tokyo will be around 1.2k usd for all
So far we've spent on each person include flying tickets 2k usd, not bad? i guess, for 6-22 april
Is anybody else going to Disney Sea ?
Hi! Any solo travelers interested in eating at Haute Couture in Tokyo April 1 for lunch? I want to make a reservation but they don’t take one person reservations. Lmk if you’re interested!
That would be my first full day in country, but I'm down
This is a long thread @astral aspen and others still going indoor/outdoor climbing? I am making a trip April 8-24 for B-Pump and stuff
I'm down for indoor climbing
Sorry didn't tag you, but I'm up for it
Hii, I'll be in Tokyo 3-9 april and thereafter in tohoku (Sendai, morioka, Aomori), lemme know if you wanna hang out
Just bought my tickets right now
That said, on the website I think they said that there would be tickets that you can buy on the day when I first checked the website way back when.
didn't we have a google docs sheet already for April? or was it just March?
it's not pinned
ah found it^^ maybe someone who has the power could pin it in the channel?
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1rsoiTftbyO5-FXrRhc3jVG9bDBMY8gKwzCkm-vHeEVo/edit?usp=sharing
It is already pinned
ah weird, maybe i should update my desktop version 😅
31 days until we arrive. How about everyone else ?
I land on the 11th, staying in and around Tokyo until the 22nd
27 days till I land
I’m a 15th arriver
Yo, will be heading to Tokyo for the first time solo 4-10 April. If anyone is down to hang just hmu 🙂↕️
35 more days, though my trip starts in another country for the first week
A month away and I’m dipping to Japan
April 2nd

What’s everyone most excited for ?
#1336278288322269184
Japan
not worry about work and just live my life in japan
but definitely heated toliet seats
I get you, luckily I’ve quit my job right before my trip to Japan
not understanding people 😂 and food
Food and coffee is definitely topping my list
Hey all! I'm a 27yo Swedish guy that will be traveling to Japan between 17 April - 5 May to meet up with some friends in Tokyo but also to explore new places and events by myself. Will mostly be based in Tokyo but feel free to reach out if you will be in Japan the same period
Anyone going to Moomin valley park?
hey @hot mortar going to book it rn, and if anyone wants to join in later, i can change it with my booking info
Are you allergic to anything?
Sure thing, and no no allergies. Been a couple times already 😄
Just landed
April reservations for Ghibli Museum happening on March 10 - 10am jst !
Bumping this! I'm currently organising a night out at Mogra (an anime club) in Tokyo on 4th April, do let me know if you're interested! #1339885062086463539
I might actually go for tickets, or try to
I've never managed to visit in all my JP trips because I've never actually tried to get them, Ghibli tickets that is
I’m already going to ghibli park, though not sure if I wanna try doing ghibli museum on the same trip lol
I’ve heard the museum is small and focuses more on the creation of its films rather than being themed ghibli
Yes very much so.
We got ghibli museum tickets for the 7th 😄
I got a Kirby Café reservation, yay!
dang I missed it, I thought it was 1 month in advance the day your going
though reservations is only on the 10th
guess ill have to book another Japan trip after this one
That's Pokémon.
yeah I mixed them up
Kirby, much more than Pokémon, seems to see people cancel their reservations a day or two in advance. Check the website once you're in Tokyo!
yeah you can easily sneak a kirby cafe reservation from people like me that wake up that day and spent the night before in the area. i had no guts to down a kawaii pink kirby burger and hearing squeaky voices around noon, so i cancelled last minute
semi-kidding ofc, kirby cafe often gets cancelled frequently, just keep in mind checking at local times
i also sneaked a pokemon cafe reservation a week before the date that i ended up cancelling.. so check frequently if you really want to visit those
Hi guys, 24F from Vancouver, Canada. I’ll be in Tokyo from April 11 to 21st. (Planning on doing a day trip to Kamakura and will be in Hakone on April 17-18). I’m also doing the Kasumigaura 10miles race if anyone is a runner here hehe. And April 25-30 will be around Kyoto, Osaka, Nara area.
I’m an ENFP, I feed off good energy good vibes with people, I’m very easygoing and open minded! This is my first time travelling to Japan and my first solo trip, would love to meet like minded people 🥺
I have a diverse interest in art&museum, anime, nightlife clubbing - especially techno/trance edm hmu!!
Hi it’s not electronic but you may be interested in #1336278288322269184 !
Oooo I’ll for sure check it out!!
Open to anything tbh haha
I’m a big one ok rocks fan so fs I’ll enjoy it heh
Hell, yeah, I have 20 more days 🤤
Ritchie Hawtin is playing at Womb on the 19th, which miiiiight be good
It’s their 25th anniversary party tho so could be stacked
Ouuuuu what time do clubs close in Tokyo?
Correct yeah
But it’s not really worth going to a club before then anyway
They can be pretty dead before midnight
I just seen that Charlotte de Witte is playing on the 26th in Tokyo but I’m gonna be down south 😩 I seen her back in 2021 I think and it was a lot of fun
Ohhh gotcha, so if I go to womb plan to go like just before midnight and stay til 4-5am
LOLOLOL
Yeah for sure
I usually just walk around to sober up and grab ramen then get the train
Are you planning on going to WOMB
and do u buy tix or pay cover at the door or how does it work
Depending on the event of the day it might be cheaper to get your ticket at least a day beforehand. Otherwise you can pay on the door unless it’s sold out
On door is ¥1k more expensive, I’ll probably go yeah. Probably buy closer to the time.
Oh ok yay! Is it ok if I tag along?
Yeah for sure, my buddy that’s visiting me when I’m in Tokyo will probably be keen to go as well. More the merrier.
Yay sounds good! I’ll add that to my itinerary
this is opening march 27 😮 https://www.takanawagateway-city.com/en
Hey everyone! My wifre and I (30yo) will be visiting Japan end of March, early April for the first time! Among other things, we'll be headed to the F1 race at Suzuka on 4/6. Anyone else planning on going?
yea i'm going to the race! my wife is with me too but won't be going to the race because she "does not need to watch rich men race cars all weekend" lol
Hahahah totally valid. We’re only going on Sunday for the race and have GA West End tickets. Where are you sitting at?
Got a seat in one of the D grandstands on the Esses 😄
GA West end like this?
Oh heck yeah. I’m keeping an eye out for some other second hand tickets somewhere
Yes! We can roam all around Spoon or in the stands by the overpass at 130r
I definitely wanna go over to 130r on quali day
I got full weekend pass for like $200 and I think I'm skipping Friday to spend time in Nagoya
Too many fun ceramic art things there to ignore 😄
I wanna watch one day tho the car stuff I’m doin is visiting toyota automobile museum in nagoya, spoon type one shop, nismo omorii factory and daikoku pa
I rented a car to hopefully see some fun cars at daikoku
It'll be a weekday but even just going there and not seeing a ton will be fun
Rented a GR86 😄

which day?
I rented a gtr last trip in Hakone, did a quick togue run up and down the mountain lol
I’m renting a GTR in Hakone on March 31st! How was the drive? Was it worth it?
Also, @austere ravine when you thinking to go to Daikoku? I thought about trying to do the same
April 8th is my rental
Picking up from Ariake and not sure what I'll do during daylight hours
Just wanna take fun car photos in fun places and enjoy seeing irl spaces i usually drive on assetto corsa lol
Hahah heck yeah. We might be down the join and do the same thing. I don’t think we have anything planned on the 8th. Who did you rent through?
Omoren! Their Ariake location has fewer cars, the Noda location was a bit far for me to get up to from where we booked that day
Sweet. I’ll check them out
I think so! it was a once life time experience. I only did the 1 hour course and thought it was fine. It started raining that day so got sketch at the end haha
first I led the group bring in front going up the mountain
then started raining so I went in the middle of the pack going down hill haha
are you renting from fun2drive(
oh and you can’t record
the roads are narrow
Heck yeah. And I am! I’m doing the 4.5 hour Hakone Ultimate drive in the classic GTR. So I doubt I’ll be breaking any speed records, but something about old cars 🤌
Had to due some adjusting keeping to the center line
It was my first time driving on the left side
I’ve only done it once in the UK and it wasn’t a manual. So attempt #2 will be interesting
Ooo, talk to me about the ryokan. Did fun2drive have a deal with one?
I wish incould do that, but im scared to driving a rhd car, thats ancient and is also stick
Especially as ive never driven stick before
Question, do you mind if i can tag along?
I thought about it each time I've visited but never pulled the trigger.
Would be a cool experience though, no different from driving here at home
Yeah its also kinda expensive for my taste
I think not driving a manual ever is probably the more challenging thing rather than it being rhd
Driving other side of the road feels weird for a little while but you get used to it, incidentally I drove my first automatic LHD and drove on the right for the first time
that was kinda easy though
Yeah cause ive driven in japan a couple times now
parking was the weird part
Once in 2019 for nissan HQ in like a Nissan Dayz
Twice in 2023 for a day trip in Gunma and going to and back from a FDJ event in Okayama
And now doing driving going to Nikko Circuit for D1Lights
(spectating)
possibly! honestly depends on if my wife wants to use that day for us to go somewhere specific or not. might at least be able to do daikoku that night if she's out on that 😄
i drove stick a ton and haven't recently but it was wild how i got used to it in england
kind of expected it to be harder on the opposite side but it took like 500m for me to have it
Yeah the only problem is that the shifter is now on the left
Yeah the only big worry is going in the wrong lane
Which in city is.not hard
But countryside
Oh man
Have to second guess myself
And then also how narrow some streets are
One month to goooooo 🥹 ⚡ ⚡ ⚡
#1336278288322269184
Lots of tickets sold already, it's going to be incredible, please don't miss
if i wasnt already back in my home country then totally

Sadly will be back home by that time
Hey guys! I met up with some of you last april and had an absolute blast! Me and my sister (M21,F20) will be doing the Shimanami Kaido Cycle from Onomichi on the 19th. Anyone able to cycle ~80-ish km is more than welcome to join.
G'day, 27(M) from Sydney, Australia. Will be in Japan (Tokyo) from 15th Apr to the 21st Apr for Star Wars Celebration. It's my first time going to the Con as well as first time solo in Japan.
I'm keen on meeting up to catching some live music and explore Tokyo, if anyone's down or has some suggestions, that would be awesome.
Star Wars gang ✊🏼
@remote pine don't know if you were looking for live music right the day that you land, but #1336278288322269184
✊ Its tempting. According to my flight info, I should land around 5pm. So assuming I am concious, I'd be down. Will look into it. Appreciate it!
it needs to be april already
It’s finally starting to dawn on me and I’m getting really excited now 😅
I’ll be in Kyoto all of April. I spend every April there so happy to help anyone who needs it!
You tell me, my flight leaves april first
And then the pilot says "we're now ready for take-off", and then the whole crew shouts "APRIL FOOLS!" and you all have to get off the plane and go home.
nah it's zip air, they want your money
heck im pretty sure they wouldnt ground a plane for april fools
all the airlines want money

Enjoy the live in Osaka!
Is anyone going to the Arabaki Rock fest ? 👀
Like recommendations?
oohh i avoid Kyoto like the plague but i may go for a daytrip this time
it’s good to know someone is there to give advice
also holy hell
o wow! ill be spending a few days there, but I feel like so many say to avoid it due to crowds... but I want to see the sakura there
do you have any tips on visiting Ninnaji temple? someone else on the server said the queue will be crazy but I'm hoping if I go in the morning, it'll be ok
It will be crowded in early april, thats for sure. Nonetheless it will be worth it!
that's just grumps like me that avoid about any crowd. it's a touristy place after all. don't overthink it if you think you'll enjoy it
people also tend to say locals hate foreigners, it's not true. they are annoyed if they can't go on with their day, like everyone would be.
def understandable haha
I spend 2 months a year in the city. It’s my favorite place.
I’ve never waited in line to go there but I’ve gone for their special events mostly. They are also famous for later blooming cherry blossoms. Their goshuincho for the spring is gorgeous. Let me see if I can find a photo!
Got this one in April of 2024.
There are way LESS nighttime illuminations this year. I’m really bummed.
That is so pretty!! Thank u for the list too!
Hey all just added myself to the spreadsheet, gonna be in Tokyo 1-4 April then Fujikawaguchiko from 4 Apr til 7 May
Welcome, put it in #1056119213082808400
Did you know that you guys can use Grok to plan your itinerary and give it details so it can be custom to you?
Its gonna be just as retarded as all AI genned itineraries are 90% of the time
If not more retarded cause I heard Grok is pretty stupid
It’s one of the most likely AI models to lie and fabricate
AI itineraries suck so bad
Oh, OK. Well, I had it make a basic one for me and I thought it was not bad but after hearing your guys‘s feedback, I can see it dropped the ball big time 🤣
I mean if you’ve checked it didn’t put something impossible in the itinerary for you, that’s good haha
I wouldn’t say it’s good for it when you need to be on your toes about what it puts in there tho, but that’s me
What, maybe I like landing in Tokyo, taking a train two days later to Hiroshima and a train to Osaka the day after that.
I tried it once to populate some of my days. It fabricated places to go instead of saying “nah fam” lmao
From what I've seen from AI itineraries, leafing through a pocket guide gives you as much knowledge about what the major attractions are and a pocket guide is more honest about how long everything takes.
Man those AI itineraries are crazy on how much to do and how often to switch areas.
you just have to be really good with your prompts tbh
I had a look at what AI could do for an itinerary and was actually pretty impressed
If you have to be really good with your prompts, doesn't that take as much effort as just figuring out your itinerary yourself?
It cuts out a lot of legwork with locations, train lines etc Certainly doesn't replace creating a full one yourself.
I'm not an itinerary person myself, I can't really do the whole concrete plans thing
but it definitely works if you dont know where to start

please check this out if anyone’s coming to Osaka in April!
For any jojo fans, some pretty cool stuff will be in shibuya during April!!
Hopefully all this means sbr announcement coming soon
Is anyone going to the beppu onsen festival / fukuoka early april?
Just yolo'd a trip to japan again and debating flying down for that or just tokyo for the entire time
Hii I’m a first time traveler to Japan in April 2025 from the 4th to the 14th and I’d love to find a lil group to travel with and hang out with! I’m actly planning on going to lake kawaguchiko to sightsee mount fuji but solo travelling is kinda scary especially for the first time so if anyone is down to travel let me know! If it helps I’m also a big anime and manga fan😅
Only for 2 days?
i arrive there the day after
good to know there’s a festival, i might skip that stay then. probably a ton of people there 😆
Nani there’s a festival in Fukuoka?
I leave Fukuoka on the 2nd but I come back on the 8th at night.

Which day?
The festival is only in beppu. I don’t think it’ll be too overwhelming.
yeah i‘ll arrive in Beppu on April 7 😅 i‘m honestly thinking about either going for the festival or later because i assume the folks there will be exhausted and cleaning up after a few days of festival
sadly the ryokan i stay at has no earlier availability
i‘ll check later if i find something during the festival
Ohhh gotcha. Yeah if you’re in the area you should do the festival it should be cool. On the 2nd they will burn a huge mountain in the background and I think on the 4th it’s just a massive water fight in the streets lol
I believe it’s like all access to all onsens for free too
I’m thinking of doing beppu on the 2nd only, yufuin the 3rd, and the Fukuoka 4/5
Oops I meant til the 14th of April😅
Sweet! Gives me a reason to finally read stone ocean. How do you find these events?
I’ve never been! It’s the jojo event they do yearly but it’s never been this special before. I’m pretty sure they are gearing up to announce steel ball run. There’s giant characters irl and a bunch of shops. It will be plastered all over shibuya.
i‘m going from Fukuoka via Nagasaki, Kumamoto to Beppu and from there towards Okayama.. it’s a bit of a weird route honestly, so i may as well replan it to go see the festival if i‘m already in the area^^ thanks for mentioning it btw!

Hi! I am going to be in Japan from 18th April -> 3rd May. In Tokyo from 18th April -> 25th April and 1st May -> 3rd May. In Kyoto from 25th April -> 28th April and in Kinosaki Onsen from 28th April -> 1st May. I am going to be travelling solo and not gonna lie I'm kinda nervous about travelling alone. Would love to meet up with some people if anyone is up for it. 😁
Hey bro! Yeah, first time can be nerve-wracking. I'm down to go out for anything in Tokyo 23-25.04. Lemme know what you're into and we can arrange something 🙂
I was going to Osaka, but the prices for travel to go between Tokyo and Osaka was like yikes
i mean.. it's like 500km between the 2 😅
If you book the Shinkansen in advance, 26,000 round
10,000 round if you fly
I miss the old prices
I should have 😅
I have to look into that
Hell yeah! Would love to arrange to do something on the 23rd or 24th (I'm heading to Kyoto on the 25th 😁 ). Honestly, I'm open to anything! I have a rough itinerary for each day and on the 23rd I currently have most of the day down as exploring Shibuya but I don't mind altering plans if you can think of anything else which could be fun! (I don't have anything down for the 24th yet as I am still planning my trip as we speak 😂 )
I don't mind if may be we arrange meeting for food then going for some drinks in the evening or explore together during the day and then have some food/drinks later on in the day. In terms of interests: I'm into anime/manga, music, gaming, technology in general but honestly I just as interested in seeing and learning about things... I really am open to doing anything 😅 I would love to meet up with a group of people to have a proper night out with everyone if anyone else is also interested in meeting up.
Hey 🙂 In Tokyo from 15th April to 22nd, more than happy to meet up and do whatever
I think im gonna fly domestically this trip instead of shinkansen, the novelty of trains has worn off
Wow I must've stopped getting notifications the country tomorrow for Japan I'm so STOKED
I fly out in 16 days
I dont get excited until im actually sitting on a plane though 😩
Would love to meet up between the 19th and 22nd! Even if its just for food and some drinks in the evening. I do have plans on those dates but I can either move things around or we could do some of the things together or just meetup after I have done the main things that I want to get done on those days 😁
Those are my last few days in Japan. Would be down to meet up
Hell yeah! What dates could you do? Maybe we can arrange to meetup as a group on a specific date 😁
I’ll dm you
im already trying to plan my next trip in november and i havent even done april trip yet 😂
tryin to decide if im doing too much for april and should leave some things out for the next next trip 🤔
I need to force myself to go somewhere else other than Japan I feel like I've been too often in the last 5-10 years !
but I always find myself just going uhhhhhh I guess I wanna go hang out there for a few weeks
Already planning my 2027 trip with friends and I haven’t even started my April trip either
I'm down too but, depends on the day and time
Which one and what city?
im in sapporo
Awesome hell yeah I’ll let you know
Yooo is anyone interested in comming with me to see Dj Kura at Cé la vi ? https://iflyer.zaiko.io/item/370666
