Hello! 22M American visiting Japan from 5/14 to 6/12. The first half of my trip is a group trip (5/14-5/28) with 2 college friends (one of who is from Japan and showing us around), and the second half is a solo trip (5/28-6/12)! Currently visiting Tokyo --> Kobe --> Osaka --> Kyoto --> Tokyo from 5/14-5/28, and planning second half of trip as of right now haha 😅

Speak English (Native) and Spanish (very proficient but not fluent).

Would love to find people to explore either Tokyo or Osaka (because of Osaka Expo, would be down to come back down for more time!), or other major cities within the June Half of the trip! Update:
22M American doing a solo travel part of trip from end of May to June 12.

I’ve now planned activities/meetups for May 28-29 (Kyoto) and June 3-6 (Fuji-Q, Yokohama, Tokyo area).

I am now considering going to Mastsumo (Nagano Prefecture) or Hakone/Shizuoka area from May 30-June 2 (four days).

Will also be in Tokyo area after June 6th, but looking at doing day trips/2-3 day leg up north.

Would love to meet new people and do day trips/etc in a group if anyone’s interested in those areas and schedules line up!

@gilded smelt I haven't been to any rollercoasters in the US (unless you count the tiny one in Santa Monica pier). These were the largest and most extreme rollercoasters I've ever ridden, but I thought they were super fun. They didn't make me super nervous at all. I think it helps knowing how diligent Japanese people are when it comes to following rules and making sure everything is safe (I lived in Japan and worked at places where work safety was important). Eejanaika is the most extreme in the sense that if you have back problems or you're older and fragile I'd avoid it. I hurt my shoulder while riding it. Still loads of fun.

Yes Manekineko is generally good, but the real decider of price/quality is location. Karaoke in the middle of Shibuya or Shinjuku is gonna charge through the nose and I’ve been in some of the smallest, darkest rooms there. Go a couple of train stops away and the experience is generally much more pleasant
