That I don't know. ちょっと has a few meanings, but it's most basic meaning is something like "a little bit" however it's used as sort of an abbreviation to say something is hard / can't be done. And a way to be ambiguous, this one is kind of hard to explain

But it's like if someone asks you what you're doing: 「何やってるの？」「うんまあ、ちょっとね。」 This is basically like say, "I'm doing something (and I'm not going to say any more)"
