Change legendary drops from rifts, to give you an item you don’t already have.

There are now 39 legendaries and the only way to get radiant quality items is to do high level rift farming. This means (assuming it is really random) you have a one in 39 chance of getting any particular item. This is about a 2.5% chance of getting any item. It’s extremely frustrating, grindy and not particularly fun. You’ve just completed a level 2000 rift and you’re rewarded with your fourth terminal velocity.

What I’d like to suggest is

• the legendary item you receive is not one you have in any of your space ships or inventory
• if you have all items, then a random item is generated
• or you get some of token that you can exchange in a shop for the legendary of your choice.

This sounds like a bad idea, some people want multiple copies of legendaries for chaos rolling or just improving the stats. Instead of running the whole rift to see what legendary you get, you can open the reliquary with tears of the mad, then reload and dismantle it if it contains a legendary you don't want.

Just save some tears of the mad. When you find a reliquary, drop a hard save, open it and see what the item is, if you don't want it, dismantle it. That's what I do. You only have to run the rifts you want.
