Hello!
I try to play Remnant 2 on my own pc, but I can't connect to my friends, nor can they connect to me.
They can connect to each other.
When I go to System/Friends, I can't see any of my friends.
In the start screen, the NAT type says Unknown.
On another pc the game works perfectly, so that rules out any networking issues.

Things I tried (without success):

  • Update drivers
  • Install network drivers from Microsoft
  • Disconnect/Connect account with Epic
  • Update/reinstall Epic launcher
  • Reinstall game
  • Reinstall Windows
  • Disable any applications that can influence networking and/or disk action, such as virus scanner and VPN software
  • Disable Windows Firewall
  • Enable UPnP in my router

At this moment I can't think of anything else to try.
Is there any logging I can take a look at? Or debug mode to enable?

Find a setting called UPnP (Universal Plug and Play). Whatever it says, set it to the opposite

#

The reason you can't connect to anyone is because you have a NAT Unknown error

#

NAT is how your and your co-op partner's PC communicate, you want NAT Type 1 or 2 (aka Open or Moderate). NAT unknown means others cannot recognise your PC

#

There are other issues that can cause this error but changing the Upnp setting is the quickest simplest fix to try
If it doesn't work you might have to do some googling

I already tried using uPnP, didn't work. I'll add it to the list.

If all of these things did nothing, you might have to call your ISP for this

#

NAT unknown is a routing problem
If you completely reinstalled the game as you said, that would have reset any potential networking bugs from the game's end, which rules out the game as the root cause of the issue.

#

I can't think of anything else you could try either other than calling your ISP

On another pc the game is working, that rules out any issues beyond my own pc.
