I've read the tech-support guides already and those (amongst a dozen other things) have not worked. When trying to launch the game, this is what pops up in Windows Event Viewer:

I use an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 and a 4070 Super. Here are the things I have tried:
- Reinstalling the game (completely clean) 4 times.
- Verified files about double that.
- Cleared shader cache.
- Drivers and Windows updated.
- Running as Steam and both exe files in folder as admin (turned off after reading tech-support guide).
- Running them in compatibility mode with Windows 7 and 8 because why not (I use 11).
- Making sure C++ Redistributable was updated.
- Several hours of other random things the internet suggested that I can't think of off the top of my head.
None of it made a difference. I hit play, the blue x replaces play, the play button comes back in about 2 seconds. I would appreciate any advice as this game looks great and I really want to give it a shot. Thank you!
