Visual bug for Flamethrowers

When using Hellfire or the "Heavy Weapon: Flamethrower" skill from the Engineer whilst strafing left/right the Fire spewing forth from the weapon moves in the same direction as the player and not the opposite. Nebula does not have this issue despite the similar firing animation.

I think it's beyond just visual as it makes enemies harder to hit, tho it might be just another illusion tho. I had reported the issue months ago but sadly it wasn't acknowledged by the devs. Really hoping it gets fixed
