A problem our group ran into was that when clearing the game on hardcore and/or a specific difficulty only the host unlocked the clear rewards (for example we completed the game on nightmare but only I got the hero's sword because I was hosting).
Is this still the case? Was it even a bug or was it intended?

Please correct me if I’m wrong. I believe the rewards are tied to players finishing world bosses in each area on that designated mode. My friend and I played through Nightmare together right after completing veteran solo, and I would play in nightmare solo sometimes since I was host since and he didn’t have as much time to grind, then I’d stop at the world boss and we’d do that together. We both got the unlocks at the end. Hope this helps!
