#How do I restore a save on the PC gamepass version?

I made a manual backup of my save on PC. Then I tested the backup by removing the saves from the WGS folder, replaced them and it's not working anymore. So I still have the files, it's just that remnant 2 isn't recognizing the saves anymore. I tried making a new character and it turns out it is recognizing some aspects of the original character but seemingly only the quest it was on and total playtime. There was an issue with the cloud save sync but the problem occurs offline too. Tested the saves in remnant save guardian too and that recognized the character fine. I'm not quite sure what to do here.

usually you just copy whats inside the wgs folder, paste somewhere else, and if you need the backup, replace it back. But its always good to make a backup of the files you have on your wgs before replacing them

and when you launch the game on gamepass, it asks if you want what is on the cloud or the pc, always choose the pc
