Hoe do I fix not being able to join my friends on PS5

This issue seems to be exclusive to ps5 and also seems to be common since the patch. Not sure how to fix it other than devs patch asap

I’ve tried removing friends and re-adding them, tried a fresh install, tried joining them/have them join me, restarted console multiple times, nothing seems to effect the outcome.
