I dug around and nothing indicates this should be intended. I was grinding out my last 2 archetypes in The Hatchery and noticed my Mudtooth Elixir going away randomly. I started paying attention to it and was able to screen-capture the moment it happened.
It seems to occur when fighting The Hatcher. When you defeat it, it explodes goop that if close enough damages you. I have confirmed twice that once that occurs, my concoction disappears. A skull status shows under my health bar which I had never seen before. I checked the menu and it just says "Weightless - You feel unburdened"
I cannot find anything that indicates this should happen.
