I joined a friend's game and realized I was able to go past the 65 trait point limit. They said they had a mod that let them break the point limit, but I do NOT have this mod. When I went back to my world, I noticed I still had the extra trait point and I can not get rid of it. Resetting trait points with the Orb of Undoing does not fix it, nor does resetting the game. A back-up file should fix this, but I want to report it first with proof.

That's not a bug, that's your friend being dumb and breaking your save.

I was hoping there is a way to fix this, though
I don't want to deal with the permanent +1 trait point notification or have to dump it and still be giving myself an unfair advantage

I'd imagine the only way to 'fix' it is via the backup save. Otherwise you might be able to dig up a CE table that lets you set trait points or something. It sucks, but ultimately this isn't really something on the devs to fix, blame your friend for not warning you they're running a mod like that
