So I was set on public, and had skipped past Root Nexus to continue my Apocalypse Campaign, which the next boss in Yaesha was Mother Mind. People who were joining my game Instantly Died when going through the boss door/fog. Defeating Root Nexus and returning had solved the problem, but this is definitely going to be a problem for others. Again happened to one player and not the other where they had been through the boss with me a few times. Warping to Ward 13 and back solved this
