yeah this happened to me, it took me 3 trys which added up to about 6 hours of re-rolling and then fast traveling till a blood moon...

In adventure mode blood moons has a visual glitch they are not actually there if you dont see the flying purple things then your blood moon is fake

It only happens on adventure mode
