My car (M550i) decided to not start today

Nope,just some random “Service Overdue” warning,ive did all the maintanance on it

Check coil packs and sparkplugs

If not then maybe an injector

Checked them with a OBD,it showed no problems

Maybe a clogged air filter then? Take it out and give it a shake

They charged me $1,000 for absolutely nothing.

That’s ok. Send it back for same complaint, let them try again. Most places, if you have a history of repeated attempts to fix the same issue, it sets you up for lemon law.

Also a thousand bucks? No warranty!

Because i didnt buy it 4 years ago,it has 2 years since it is with me,it had 0 miles

yeah and if the car sat for 4 years and was driven only a few times then it could be flat or bad

either way just take it to the dealer and make it their problem

and don't accept the car back until it can start and run again

BMW sent me a email “your car is ready” guess what,they didnt do anything. I said “fix it or im not accepting it back”

Now its sitting in BMW’s service

it's probably a dealer specific issue

you could try and bug munich about it or find a different dealer

I will add +1 to Krafter questioning the battery, it’s very possible that once they put it on a proper load tester it may actually (finally) test as bad and it’s possible that might not be covered by warranty.

if this is a consistent issue with that dealer they could even end up getting their license revoked from BMW

The app says “Service status:Starts tomorrow at 10 am” and i said i wanted the car fixed by 12 pm,they said “Okay,we will try”

diag takes time and the mechanics aren't going to stay up all night for something they're only getting paid a small amount to do
