Yeah I kinda screwed up a bit when i hit a pothole, no biggie i towed the car back home and got on my spare.. Went to go get quoted for a tire replacement and the mechanic tried selling me a new control arm and a CV axle.. i have NO idea what those are i am not a car guy but i will be attaching a video to this message please tell me if i should actually repair those or just get the tires..

You need a new lower arm bushing, and a new ball joint bush. The lower arm bush has some life in it and will need doing in the next year or so, but ball joint needs changing. If they're going to do one, they might as well do the other while in there. I don't think they're trying to charge you for a new axle, just the rubbers around them
