Hi,

I currently drive a Suzuki Swift Sport 2013 and looking to buy a new car. I don't really have any specific preferences other then not spending more then the cars worth on maintenance or car problems in the first year of owning it.

Cars that i have been looking into are the following;
Subaru BRZ
Toyota GT86 (Basicly same as above)
Nissan 350z // 370z(fairlady Z)
Mitsubishi Evo Lancer (expensive maintenance i've heard)
Subaru WRX

Note that most of the above are JDM cars, that is something i like but not a must.

I live in the Netherlands, so cars here are expensive. Thats why i've been looking into importing a car. From Japan for example, i don't mind the right hand drive. Good reason to stay away from the Mcdrive. With the UK nearby it would maybe be better to import from there but i've heard that rust is known problem there. Ofcourse importing from other countries like Germany are also a possibiliity. But for now i am mostly just asking for cars that CAN be imported for 16.000 EUR // $18.2k or less :D
Any cars near this price range that are worth mentioning go ahead :)

350zs are very cheap imported from japan right now

will be pretty hard to resell a rhd one in the netherlands if you decide to get rid of it tho

gt86 and brz are very overpriced in europe

I understand how the importing works in rough lines, from what i’ve heard its best to buy a 4.0 or higher. (score on the inspection report)
