Its summer time and hot as fuck so I borrowed a set of gauges to see how much r4 to put in it and... no thread no nothing its snapped right off by previous owner. First two pictures are the valve, third picture is the connection to the hose... Wondering if I can take that whole little upart off of another car to replace my service valve or if I should just seek some way to rethread it / seal it off and get a reading like that somehow... if anyone know anything about point 1 (snapped low pressure valve) or point 2 (replacing whole metal part that is the low pressure valve acess point) please let me know thank you.

rethreading it would be hard as it’s snapped all the way down. i would suggest replacing the a/c suction line. you can search for a used one with no leaks (a 2004-2009 kia sentra line will match). if you replace the line it’ll guarantee no leaks and is more of a proper fix. after swapping the line, you will need to vacuum the system down before recharging it. i dont recommend using a replacement service port kit or installing a schrader valve as those are prone to leaks and mostly temporary
omggg thank you I was trying to find that part name. I did actually go and do a reading today and it was vasically empty, drained and refilled it and my compressor is so toast so Ill have to replace that and probably my condensor too to be safe.

right now just waiting for all the coolant i spilled to dry up so I can try and find out where the leak in my system is. My coolant went bone dry when I had replaced it about a month or so ago
how do i mark this solved?
i don’t think you can change the tags, so maybe just react with a green check mark
