If I plugged in a charger through the lighter port to charge a Nintendo switch, how long could it charge before the battery dies roughly? Trying to calculate when to turn my car on to recharge it.

Do you need to turn on the ignition for the lighter to provide electricity?

And can you give us the amperage and current on whatever device is being plugged into the outlet? It’ll be something like “2A 1.2V” on a sticker or stamped on the plug

I feel calculating its pointless. By experience:
Without ignition: 6h
With ignition: 2h

No I can charge it with the car off, and the Nintendo Switch has an Input of 15v 2.6A, the charger I'm using puts Out 2.4A

With the car off and it constantly charging the Switch, it would last 6hrs about before the battery dies?

I would think its a safe bet.

6 hours would consume 26 amp hours

Yeah any decent condition battery should be able to take that and still have enough to crank
