My mk6 fiesta from 2008, has been experiencing starting problems recently. On a hill it starts first time no problem. But on flat ground it doesn’t even crank, but then after a few more turns of the key, it eventually starts. Any suggestions of what the problem could be. It’s got a new battery btw

Check out your cabling - not just the ends at the battery, but follow them to where they end (at the starter, at the engine, at the frame). You’re looking for loose fasteners or corroded/compromised connections.
