Drove my car to my family's house and started fine. When I arrived I turned the car off and went inside. I came back out 10 mins later for it to no longer crank/start.
-
Boosting did not work.
-
Starter connections are fine
-
Battery terminals/connections are fine.
-
The ground connection of the wires off the wiring harness/ECU are severely rusted/corroded.
-
Fuses and relays are fine.
-
The car has an automatic transmission, and I've made sure it was definitely in Park (also tried neutral).
-
I thought it was the starter that died because there was no crank (not even a click) when I had tried starting. I could hear the fuel system working. I replaced the starter today but nothings changed.
-> There is power going to the starter because I forgot to disconnect the battery and made some sparks touching the starter with a wrench. -
The AC/Heat does not blow, headlights do not turn on and heated devices do not work no matter the key position.
-> Normally these would have worked.
Let me know if yall got any ideas/suggestions. I'm going to clean the ground wires and see what happens but I don't think that'll fix it.
