Does it go away when at operating temp? Part of this sounds like exhaust and air. The ding ding ding noise is like it’s pinging. Uhm… or it could be your catalytic converter. I just don’t see what could cause that otherwise. And yes you should be worried. You bought a bmw you knew what you signed up for lol
