I noticed my cylinder misfiring as of late, took a scanner to it, and this came up. Only 2 codes not related to a sensor that I don't care about. P0303 and P0353. How conclusive is it to be just a bad coilpack? We had already checked cylinder 3, pulled the boot (looked newer), and replaced the spark plug, looked not so new.

Now that fixed it until we got up to speed again. Mind you this only happens after riding the interstate at 70MPH, hitting an exit, just to try and hit 70MPH again. THAT is when the error is really evident. It only misfires under heavier acceleration. Emphasis on heavier

2.0l i4, 6-speed automatic from Hyundai.
TL;DR how trustworthy is the engine code, seems to follow the sequence of events and the timing of when I first noticed. If it's trustworthy I'm insta-buying 4 delphi coils and 4 spark plugs. It's fairly reliable and fun otherwise.
if you didn't see the engine light blinking you wouldn't even notice the misfire, just abnormal acceleration at high speeds.

I called a mechanic earlier today and said I could theoretically bring it in to have him deep dive into the engine but he mentioned given the way the car behaves he wanted to say it's just the coil going out, and would recommend replacing it and "see what happens" because if that's all there is, then no need to pay him to diagnose it.

I will mention my MAP sensor went out right before all of this hit, so along with that I'm throwing that in the cart, but wanted a second opinion before I impulse buy. It needs them regardless. 184k miles and I doubt the previous owner worried much about proper maintenance, bought it from a used car dealership but the Carfax was clean, and it rode well and did until it started having problems as of late.

It actually will not misfire on backroads and city limits, it's when it works at high speeds.
