Hi.. recently bought a shitbox 1982 toyota corolla with the intent of drifting it for cheap,
long story short previous owner ran the stock engine on LPG so it literally warped the block.

I have 0 idea which motor to move towards, since prices here are quite weird, a 7k efi (roughly 80 hp, and is bolt on to the chassis) is costing me LITERALLY around the same as a 2jz fse.. more hp, more torque, but more weight.. there's also a 1g beams engine, 6 cylinder around 110 hp, but lower torque than the jz, all 3 at the same price point to have dropped into my engine, with mounts.

Wanted someones opinion because i honestly have 0 idea.. do i play it safe with a bolt on engine? do i get a jz which might make it front heavy? or a beams which probably will blow up.

Volvo redblock b230fk or ft. Some quick mods and you'll have 180hp.

#

Easy to work on too

#

Hell, even an N/A b230f gives you 115hp. And the b230fb gives u something like 130hp

#

They're slanted so shouldn't be to hard to fit it under the hood

The engine warping is for having a bad owner that trashed and didn't maintain the car. Completely unrelated to LPG
