Whenever I put her into park it gives me the “shift to park” message and it will not go away. Gear selector is all the way up, my screen says I AM in park, but I still get this message. I’ve had to disconnect the battery bc it keeps going on and on.

To my mind, this is a software problem: if the screen recognizes it’s in park, then the code has a glitch because we know the computer is receiving the input from the transmission that it’s in park . Or is the “screen” in this case like the PRNDL indicators that uses a physical indicator?
Assuming it’s a digital display, this is going to be a “hey can you check for software updates” trip to Chevy.

Maybe - depending on how new this is, I’m not sure if the infotainment has an update feature you can access
But really, if it’s new enough, this is a warranty problem. Make a dealer handle it for you
