I need to get mine replaced as its like 4-5 years overdue (still has about 30k till it hits 90k recommended replacement interval) was wondering if its hard to replace one, and if its easy to make a mistake. I want to replace mine and I might have someone who has replaced their clutch who might be able to help me. Heard so many stories of people saying "1 mistake and you will cause major engine damage"
#Timing belt replacement.

What car?
Hyundai Getz
A mistake will cause major damage, yes. If you can only do brakes and oil changes, it’s probably not the job for you. However, if you have good documentation, access to a shop and tools, and time to work (as in, it’s not a daily driver that you need to get it done in a day or two), then it’s doable. I’m not familiar with the Getz engine so I can’t really suggest any resources for tools and documentation, but there are usually engine-specific timing tools for doing the job.
Someone I know is a mechanic apparently so ill see if they'll help me out, will save me 700 bucks in labor.
Nvm they cant.
