#Mazda 6 2017 vs VW Passat 2016

Been looking for a new wagon/estate and and these 2 are the ones thats been the most interesting so far.
I'm only looking at the top spec models, the mazda with the 194bhp and the passat with the 214 hybrid GTE.

At this point i think im gonna end up picking the one thats gonna last me the longest and have the most care free ownership. Anyone got some advice on what to pick? Or any other cars that fits that type

Between these two, the Mazda is the pick. Only reason to do a Passat would be if TDI, and only then if that was what you were interested in.
