Wondering if this gasket surface is clean enough to install new gaskets on, been cleaning it for about 20 minutes now

Lol for sure. How do I get that stubborn stuff off? I’ve just been using a plastic scraper and nylon brush

Brass brush and steel whool for the really stubborn stuff.

Sounds good, that can be used for aluminum? Just use light pressure?

You can use a lot of pressure with a brass brush. Its steel brushes that can ruin your stuff.
