Cloud storage often has a monthy fee.
You only need storage for footage you decide to save right? I don't see why someone would need 128gb of storage if you're only saving footage when you have an accident
The last thing i would think about in an accident is to quickly sing up for a cloud storage.
Go with 250gb and you will have plenty of storage. Bang of the buck when it comes storage goes up the more storage you get.
Got it. But when is storage actually used? When I'm driving and the camera is running no storage is being used right? Only if I decide to save something then the storage will be used correct?
Yes. They usually have gforce sensors that will notice if something happens and save the recording.
Do you know how it works with the dash cam overnight? i see some of them have nighttime vigilante mode but won't that drain the car battery?
Maybe. Idk honestly. Should not drain more than any other system in the car.
You’ll have a hardwire kit that connects to your fuse box. It often has a cutoff when the voltage hits a certain level to prevent your battery being killed. I have my dashcam on Timelapse mode when the car is off and it’s been doing fine for years
