What's more reliable between those two?
I know Elantra's more performant
Honda has always proven their reliability it's one of the best selling brands in the US for a reason
If it gets Scotty kilmers approval you know it's reliable
Get a gti if you live in europe honda literally anywhere else
yeah
I live in stangland
Get the honda
At this point I think I'll get a Honda hybrid and mod it a little to make it sportier
GG @lyric mason, you just advanced to level 3! Chat more to level up and earn top roles!

you clearly don’t understand, you can’t do anything to make a hybrid fastwr
but you can mod the si, acceleration is not a metric for fun
If you’re that concerned about fuel economy, a hybrid civic is a top notch move. And to be clear, that is a greatvehicle. But if you’re going to do fun or sporty driving or start talking mods, get an Si. It will be great out of the box, hit your 25mpg metric with room to spare, and be as reliable as you need it to be. I personally am partial to the K20 powered Si but get whatever flavor/configuration you like best.
I think the civic si is the most flexible option so I'd say get that one
I've heard that the si takes forever to warm up in winter. Is that true?
I also plan to use this vehicle as a project car, probably gonna turbocharge
Probably depends on your meaning of “forever.” It’s definitely quicker to warm up than the 80’a and 90’s stuff that I grew up driving. Versus a non-Si civic of the same year I’d have trouble believing it takes any longer. And yes, if this is going to be a project, si is the way. That said, if this is going to be a daily, don’t make it a project.
Well it's more of a semi-project
The goal of the said project being to still keep it a decent daily driver
Your not going to buy a car and plan on throwing a turbo on and it is still going to be a daily. That process alone takes lots of time and loads of money. Ask anyone here that has built a car or is building a car.
I believe what you should do is sit down and write a list of things you want and compare and contrast. Set a budget and research around that.
Well I do intend to drive something else in the mean time. Are there other problems I'm not aware of?
What do you mean problems? Like problems with putting a turbo on car?
Wait a sec, I just remembered that Si comes with a turbo by default
The newer ones yes
Ford taurus SHO
C4 corvette
Just get a hybrid accord
Not very spacious, plus you could get a c5 or maybe even c6 in this range
I’ve grocery shopped in the C4. Even the vert with the top down can fit 3 pizzas and like 5 pineapples 👍
Nevermind the passenger seat space
I mean yeah groceries arent that large
I regularly get groceries in the golf and never have filled the trunk, like no seats folded down or anything
If you get a vert your storage capabilities are limitless.
You don’t shop like we shop
Do you shop like a month at a time or smtn
Once or twice a week, fill the back seats of the truck and usually the bed has a good bit of shit
Damn family of 12 or smtn?
5 lol, but we buy a lot of animal food for cats dogs and ducks
