Delete this if not allowed, but me and my buddy are planning on starting a detailing business near the end of the school year, we’ve been talking about this for a few years, but now that we’re getting older and it’s becoming more of a reality, figured we should start getting some advice. Any tips we should know?

A lot of retailers talk about doing the perfect job on high end cars. In reality, what’s going to pay the bills are $500-$1000 jobs on momwagons and executive commuters. Figure out how much perfection you can give someone for that price, and still make money on the deal, and that’s your sweet spot.

Consider the infrastructure you will need to support reliable quality service. Air compressor, water pump of some sort, and all the other random bits that go into a full detail

Consider even more who you want your clientele to be. It will be hard to jump right into high end cars as owners will want to know you arent gonna ruin their expensive car. You will likely need normies to start and build your reputation.
Take pictures of your work ingreat detail (pun intended)

Lastly.... location, location, location. If you are a mobile business, great... but still have to have a local promotional presence of some sort. Vehicle wrap would be great to advertise a mobile detailing business
