Replaced everything in suspension part.
Still making this sound when cold.
When temperature is over 52F it is dead quiet

Any idea?
Left front is where noise coming from
Things I replaced-

Strut mount, ball joint, control arm, sway bar end link, sway bar bushing, strut itself, tie rod end(outer), engine mount

1st vid is just before I replace control arm.

2nd video is when I replaced control arm.
Much quieter but still there.

Im suspecting premature sway bar end link failure or sway bar bracket is broken.

Any ideas?

My car is VW Mk4 based TT Mk1

Replacing the control arm quieting the clunk - that’s the clue. I think this may have used some single use fasteners, double check the Bentley to confirm and if so, get it/them.

#

For the two fasteners that attach to the subframe, if thry are single use, replace them; and if not, back them out a couple turns and then re-torque them. In either case, make sure to do the final torque with the suspension at ride height

#

Do the same with the nut on the ball joint that attached to the knuckle; back it off or replace, and retorque it. Follow the torque specs in the Bentley.

Just had a similar issue, 2013 Nissan Altima Coupe. Replaced rear struts and sway bar links. The rear struts were shot after ten years.

#

After I replaced the struts and links, I was getting a clunking noise. Took me a while to figure out. All bushings on control arms, subframe, and even sway bar were tight with no cracks.

#

I found that for some reason, the mount would slide back and forth on the studs for the top of the strut. That was with me torquing it to spec.
