about to buy a 2010 chevy cobalt LT for 4k lmfao, got about 130k miles. its from a manager at work. went and test drove earlier today, everything seems great. one thing though, the dust plate/shield/splash shield or whatever is gone, so it makes an atrocious noise when driving. luckily the part is dirt cheap.
taking the car to get inspected before officially buying. been doing a little research and cobalts arent the greatest cars per se, but hey i need something to get me from point a to b, and id rather go through a manager at work, then go through someone random on marketplace.

anything i should note?

The lower control arms, there’s a captured nut on the body where the rear bushing of the LCA bolts to the body, and it breaks loose. Can be an issue if the LCAs are shot and be impossible to replace (and about this age they’ll be due for replacement).
