Define “good”
392 Wrangler is my favorite but it’s an objectively terrible vehicle by most metrics. I just like it because it’s terrible, the absurdity appeals to me. It’s a ridiculous vehicle.
Porsche Cayenne GTS, any generation
The turbos were faster yes, but sacrificed reliability

Depends on where you are and how much your willing to spend
If you want reliability but don’t have to much money. What about a Chevy Trailblazer SS

if you want a first performance suv that you can modify and buy for cheap, i would recommend the 1998-2003 dodge durango r/t with the 5.9l magnum v8
those are all cheap
Very cool SUVs
This thread is a fun reminder of performance SUVs from a while ago haha. One more, but it throws reliability out the window - the early Supercharged Range Rovers. Very fast for what they were.
range rovers relaibilty
😭

I was on something last night. Durango 5.9 will work
They also made those 5.9 Jeeps too, the Grand Cherokee
think those are out of price range. i have seen those sell for so much more than the durango
B9 SQ5
Case closed
Best bang for ur buck you can get em sub 50k
Tune them for a cool 570 ftlbs of torque
Or buy a $3000 hybrid turbo and get 750 horsepower
“doesnt eat ur budget”
itll chew through it in both purchase price and maintenance
DIY it it’s all VW group parts
Just don’t let a dealer charge you $600 for an oil change
Ez
I always wonder about VAG products when the common advice is “tune them and get gobs of power” and then surprisedpikachu.jpeg when discussing VW/Audi reliability
Worlds quickest and fastest ST Explorer 1/4 mile track pass to date.
😱👻
Yeah
...A fuckin brick is a ten second car?
A brick and a metric shit ton of boost.
No other way to make bricks fly
