Installed Sony DSX-A410BT. Worked perfectly.
Put its bracket in after testing it, won’t start anymore.
My car got a bad idle after this. Checked both fuses (not with multimeter but by looking at them); they look okay, not broken/ burnt/shot.
Checked manual and it said red and yellow wires should be swapped depending on the car wiring.
Checked and red and yellow are swapped in my car. Swapped them in the attached pic as the manual suggests. Still nothing.
The old radio doesn’t work anymore either and neither does the normal clock.

You're gonna need a multimeter
It's really difficult to diagnose anything without a multimeter reading because so many different small things can go wrong lol
I see
Could I try to swap the room fuse to the radio fuse?
I’d temporarily lose interior light, auto antenna and warning buzzers
Both 10A
in theory, yeah, but you might blow that one as well assuming that's your problem
at least that's what I've been taught, if anyone else has a different idea, please correct me
I swapped two wires
So red matches red and yellow matches yellow
Could that have caused the blown fuse?
But it shouldn’t have caused that
It should’ve just caused the radio to continuously drain the battery
Like them not matching beforehand
The swap I did was after it stopped working
hmm maybe? honestly fuses are cheap so you might as well
you can try swapping it, and then swapping it back
and if your interior light breaks then you know lol
good luck man
miata's are finnicky
Hmm
My interior light went out after this happened
But it happened a while after
So I thought it was just a coincidence/ old bulb
Maybe that fuse is also blown?!!
If that one is blown too
How bad is it?
I mean cheap to replace but what could’ve caused it? A slight miswire?
Im quite a noob
I honestly can't tell you
I'm a noob as well when it comes to wiring at least
The buzzer fuse is also blown
well that's an issue
