Car hasn't ran for a while, i had to get a new battery since, the main issue was the bolt got stripped for the alternator causing it to become loose and rattle A LOT. Bolting issue was fixed, but as soon as i got the battery recharged, i tried turning on the car, and a LOUD pop like a balloon popping happened. Did the alternator go out? Idk i need help tho

Car didn't run, the pop happened when i tried starting the car, all electrical seemed fine but i'm guessing too much power went to alternator? No leaks or anything out of place too

Alternator produces “power” to the car not the other way around

The battery is simply there to start the car. Once the car is running, the cars electronics stay powered on by the alternator
