FB marketplace, Craigslist, and cars.com, plus I understand some regions have their own sites similar to Craigslist. Remember that in this price range, every car is going to need something right away, and very likely very soon. The seller may acknowledge it needs tires but be completely unaware the fuel pump is about to die. So leave room in your budget for this - especially if you’re learning how to wrench and may be at the mercy of a shop. So if you can only spend 6k, do not buy a car for more than 5k, and the rest is your cushion for the projects it will need (and also tax tags insurance etc)
