I topped off with <1L PEAK Violet SI-OAT coolant labelled for Audi/MB/Porsche and VW when i got a low coolant light.

Forums say I should use Green HT-12 formula. Both seem to be SI-OAT.

Is there any reason for concern? Should I get a coolant flush and discard my remaining purple stuff?

if they're both formulated the same you should be fine

Sure "coolant is coolant" but long term, specific coolants are designed to increase the life of the coolant pump.

Check your owner's manual. Forums may sometimes have inaccurate information.

Your manual will provide a recommended brand, but it will specify a standard / formula. Like the above message states, as long as it follows the same formula, you're fine.

Personally, I just use whatever coolant I have on hand. But then again, my car is almost 15 years old and I don't do any performance driving.
