Lincoln Aviator 2003
First time getting a leak, checked visable radiator and hoses, no leak.
Oil level is fine nor is it foamy but coolant does go down. Car hasn't overheated yet, but I do smell a burning smell, possibly from coolant making contact with motor. The coolant leak isn't really noticeable until the fan kicks on.

You need a new gasket

#

Probably one of the best things that could have failed in that way

#

oh wait a minute

#

is that camera underneath the engine?

#

It could be the water pump if it’s up there

#

ye looks like the water pump. Take a look at it and see if you can find a small hole in it (called a weep hole). If you find it, run the engine and wait for fluid to come out. If nothing happens then it’s something else. If ANY coolant at all comes out, turn off the car and do not run it again. Replace the water pump

#

the hole is there to identify parts that may have failed or are failing inside the pump

Yeah that’s the water pump fam. I bet your clutch fan is connected to your water pump pulley.

You would know lol. Water pump is is pretty straight forward. There is a specific tool that Ford has to do this water pump. You can get it at any parts store.

Honestly that’s not that bad. I expected worse. Awesome that it is working out for you. Did this fix the leak?
