What is the purpose of this hose? Is it fine to zip tie it back in place or is it transporting something important and worth replacing as a whole?

It looks like it was suppose to have a hose clamp on it. If you zoom in, about an inch or so from the opening of the steel line.
It has a ridge to make sure the house is on snug and fit. This has been broken for some time.
Is this connected to your gas tank? It’s probably a breather or used for something related to emissions.
