I was leaving my community to grab a cup of coffee. While taking off, I heard something being absolutely destroyed down below, and my speedometer said I was going 120 mph. My engine runs and my transmission worked fine, but the power ain't going to the wheels. I stepped out and I found a random ass part on the floor, picture included, and a few fasteners. I don't have a picture of the fasteners, but they were all covered in this green grease. Some backstory, I replace my tires a few weeks before, and this loud squeaky sound was heard when I accelerated under 40 mph. While inspecting the outside of the car, I found the same grease I found on the part on my front passenger tire. Can somebody can identify the part and tell me what to do? This is a 2014 Honda accord with a front wheel drivetrain
#something fell out and idk what to do

You snapped a cv axle and that's half of the axle
Need a new axle atleast
and inspect if it did any damage on its way out
Bro, I know your car was making noise before this broke 😂
Just like Skeid said, you need a new CV axle and have a mechanic inspect for damage
my dad had the axle snap in his truck and no warning.
It can happen but it normally doesn’t happen often. Usually you hear a clunking noise on hard acceleration and when you turn in the direction of the bad axle
Yeah when you have a bad joint, but a straight snap doesn't give audible warnings
wisconsin winters do crazy shit
aye bruh i heard a high pitched sound, and thought i needed new brakes. probably was the axle idk
i searched up axle sound, and most people heard it while turning, and it was a clicking sound
i didnt hear that at all
Damn that’s wild. Honestly good thing your safe. Could of been dangerous at highway speeds
