So I just bought this 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Sport off my father for a great price. But he will retain ownership of the car until insurance fixes it completely.
The car exterior was damaged as it was in the Garage during a house fire that took our whole house last year. By some miracle the garage structure held up and the car was extricated from the garage. The car has no mechanical issues whatsoever and 10,000km was put on it since.
I will be completely cleaning and detailing the inside using MF towels, P&S Xpress Interior Cleaner, and Invisible Glass.
My question is whether it's worth my time to mess with the outside in it's current state. It's a bit of an eyesore and I'll be able to see any further discoloration when my father brings home his new Stelvio with the same paint color.
What the car is waiting for:
- Black Exterior Trim Piece above the windshield
- The claims advisor told us after they get this piece in, they will do the rest of the work
- This piece has been on order for 9 months from Alfa Romeo Canada at the shop
- New Clear Coat/Paint?
- My parents are a bit out of the know, and I still have to call the shop and ask them about this.
- I can't tell if it's just the clear coat, or the paint itself is damaged.
