History:
Bought a 2001 Toyota Corolla LE(automatic), recently changed the starter.
In doing so, i tried the method of removing the battery to be able to have space to take out the top bolt for my old starter and there just wasnt enough room. Read a comment on youtube some guy said he had better success with removing the radiator. Okay, first time actually working on a car, what can go wrong?
Removed the radiator and the hoses and this clear liquid came flowing out like a waterfall. Now, im colorblind and im sure it was clear, but upon further research it was coolant. After putting things back together with the new starter i am now seeking help on which coolant to use as there are so many different colors? Went to napa and told the guy my car and what happened, he went and picked out this Napa brand Green 50/50 coolant.
Well im home now and depressed because on the jug it clearly states "For use in: Ford & Chrysler 2000 and earlier GM and all other makes and models 1995 and earlier"
Again my car is a 2001 Toyota Corolla LE
Is it safe to use this green coolant or am i screwed because im flat broke now and no running car at the moment
