anyone know what this discolouration is on the edges of the wheels? could it be some sort of filler or could it be harsh chemicals?

i dont think you can scratch the inside of the wheel with a curb

kinda looks like aluminium oxydation to me

but i have never seen anything like this

is that the only thing that makes the wheel shine?

When it peels the paint will start to fade and will get damaged to the point that it will look like that. Yes, clear coat does help give the paint the “shine” look.

So at that this point would I need to spray the whole wheel with paint and clear coat or is there another solution? @wild hill
