Hey guys, so I turned off the vsa mode by accident and ran into a tree bc it was rainy, now I want to fix it but idk what’s exactly wrong and I would like to go to the mechanic knowing at least a little about it . I know my power steering reservoir got fucked and my serpentine belt but what else? There’s a broken hose under there but Idk what that is. Any help would be appreciated it

You ain’t fixing any of that by yourself; I can tell 100% you have never worked on cars so that car is pretty much a write-off or scrap. From what I can see it needs brand new fenders, bumper, headlight(s), belt (probably some new pulleys too). Power steering line or ac lines probs. Brand new suspension components maybe and damage to the frame. It will also 100% need an alignment. Engine is probably damage from the shock too.

#

Rad and con are probably both punctured too

#

Next time when you get a new car and want to drive fast; don’t get a fwd eco box. You drove into a tree because of the understeer and probably lack of experience driving fast.

Because the air bags have not deployed u might have some hope though

#

But it will be pretty close to the price of the car imo; especially if there is subframe and engine damage, which I can easily imagine. The broken hose could be a coolant line, transmission cooler line, or a condenser line.

#

Not a power steering line as it is not connected to your rack

#

Have you checked all your fluids

#

Coolant and oil too

#

I would also check to see if your fuel lines are unscathed

#

Also run your ac if possible to see if it still works when cooling

#

If your ac system is fucked (aka cut lines) it is gonna need a new condenser, hardware and new refrigerant

Assess all the damage before driving your vehicle again or before trying to fix anything.

I would call your insurance and say something upon the lines like this “if I were to total my car what would be the payout and how high would my rates increase, theoretically”. Then you have something to fall back on if u need be.
