My stock compression in my 5VZ-FE is 9.6:1. How would I go about upgrading my pistons if my only options (that I can find) have the compression ratio of 9.0:1, 10.0:1, and 12.0:1? Or if anyone can send me some performance pistons with the stock compression that’s just as good.

But why tho? Are you going to super or turbocharge it?

Yes

This is all based in a semi distant future, just rather learn this now than later

if you're going to boost it, the 9:1 comp piston would be the best choice
high comp engines dont like boost all that much

Exactly that's why i was wondering. Keeping the stock cr when boosting is possible, but lowering it leaves more room for safety/error

Ok perfect

Ngl I forgot about this thread but I’ll probably go with the 9:1’s cause I do plan to boost
