Hey guys, for any Chevy guys out there, whenever I put a CD into my CD player, it makes a weird rattling noise, and then when I go to turn it on, it says that no CDs are detected. After this, I have to pull the CD out with some tweezers. I've heard this is a common issue on all 2000s GM vehicles, however, I'd like to see if there's any simple fixes that I'm missing or if I would just have to replace the radio at this point.

FYI: I have already tried pulling the radio fuse and putting it back in (and I inspected the fuse, it seems to have no damage, so I don't think it's blown)

A lot of CD players use some type of small gear or belt system to load and set the disc for read. Sounds like maybe one of those plastic/nylon gear might have lost a few teeth or shattered.

I took mine off and threw them away :-).
